Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1.
We hope you enjoyed your long summer break. Ahem, let’s try that again. Anyway, you get the picture.
We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…
The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.
This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.
Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.
On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.
Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.
It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European adventures disasters and subsequently Burnley and Villa have the week off too.
The games in full…

(1) Not having Salah has burnt me yesterday heavily. My Gw1 is gone. Now question is should I get Salah now or later at 12.2/12.3m price?
(2) Justin is playing LB and Const. as RB….Who is more at risk once Pereira returns?
Just get Mane. They’ll probably balance at the end of the season so Mane is now due!
So is anyone selling Salah?
Lol Smash
Do you expect Pool to get 2 PKs every match? Other than that Salah did his own usual (taking lot of shots and missing). I don’t have Salah. Unfortunately I will not be knowing how City will play or Utd will play. So I will take the risk of not having him 1 more week and then decide.
Salah had 21 touches in the box, 9 shots and created 4 chances. That is good enough for me, even without considering penalties.
That is the truth of every season. Question is that whether a 8-10m player can match him so that you can use extra fund to get 2 such mids rather than Salah and a (useless) cheapo like St. Max (who will do good occasionally).
Salah was good GW1 but I am not a big fan of him, I usually prefer mane over him. It happened in GW1 too and backfired though
Ha ha. No I am keeping him and cap every week.
:jester:
A goal from the new signing castagne. Beautiful. Leicester leading 1-0!
How’s he looking? Should’ve gone with my guts and take him in… oh well.
He was completely under my radar. Looks good tbf
Vardy wins the PK and makes it 2-0.
Barnes is annoying me, could have had a brace on another day
I have added him in my watchlist, he is looking good. Infact this is the only takeaway from this match. WBA remains as they were when relegated.
Vardy double coming up :suicide:
please miss!
oh lord… Werner better acore big
*score.
Cant have all the big names I guess
Hope so
Justin with the assist!
Looked decent, but its WBA who looks toothless. When you have Robinson and Robson-Kanu as strikers, you can’t expect more.
WBA do not look good. Could be the new whipping boys.
:yahoo: . I’ve been listening on/off to the match on the radio – he’s been involved a fair amount today with crosses etc.
