Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1.
We hope you enjoyed your long summer break. Ahem, let’s try that again. Anyway, you get the picture.
We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…
The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.
This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.
Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.
On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.
Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.
It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European adventures disasters and subsequently Burnley and Villa have the week off too.
The games in full…
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

I was just about to see some light in the tunnel (GW1) and to celebrate Doherty’s goal and he somehow missed it…
He’s looking good tbf. Kind of wish I had him though Mourinho saying Doherty and Aurier will rotate is a slight concern whether that’s league and cup we don’t know
How is the toon side looking?
Thinking Doucouré and James could be interesting.
James is looking good to me. I have Doucoure in my team and he is doing ok himself. Looking like James is playing pretty aggressive.
Yep, Hamez is looking good. Always looking to make a key pass, and getting into good positions to score too. Definitely on the radar given EVE’s upcoming run.
And Digne… Well, that does it – TAA for Digne and in with DCL or James for the extra funds :laugh2:
Actually the whole Everton side is looking good.
The thing is, my dilemma was Justin, Traore and Wilson or Doherty, Saka and Mitro. I hope it pays off long-term, as this week was shocking.
Alli subbed off at half time..
injured or just alli’ing it up?
I guess just rotation…might be lack of match fitness a bit.
How’s everyone’s he going. 75 with ramsdale and pulisic left. Not convinced pulisic will start though
71 as of now with only Ryan, my GK left to play. Still some bonus points coming for Vardy. Hopefully Werner does nothing tomorrow and I can celebrate my Vardy decision.
Doherty CS gone I see.
And Dier cs gone as well…
Son and Kane never amaze to fail… :hippo:
TOT not looking too sharp. Son out for Fernandes before prices rise.
Thinking the same thing.
+1, also don’t like the way Jose uses Son, he’s been far too wide most of the game
Exactly.
I noticed that and thought that was odd. Son hasn’t usually been that far out. Or at least I don’t remember him playing that wide.
Yes. I have already done that move. Was in my books anyway.
I had planned either Son to Bruno or Auba to KdB for week 2. Unless Son does something miraculous in the next 10 minutes, my transfer is decided.
Same, problem is I can’t wait too long. Either might go up or down.
