Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1.
We hope you enjoyed your long summer break. Ahem, let’s try that again. Anyway, you get the picture.
We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…
The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.
This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.
Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.
On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.
Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.
It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European adventures disasters and subsequently Burnley and Villa have the week off too.
The games in full…

Højbjerg with his customary yellow card I see
Done;
Henderson > Doucouré
Bednarek > Justin
You already have Manchester assets?
Sorry Those transfers are nuts
Doucouré good player and I don’t need Hendo now I am keeping Salah.
I have SOU GK and I was switching between Justin and Lewis and went with Bednarek for some reason, thinking SOU would be better defensively.
doing those next gw
Well done Everton! A road win and everyone looked great on the pitch.
Really don’t see value in Spurs players esp how Mourinho plays. Much better value in other less pricey players.
Yeah I agree. They are not going to score as many as the other big clubs. Possibly their defenders but that’s about it for me
Looking at you Son at 9 and Kane at 10.5. Defo transferring out for Manchester players
Think I am with you on that one Sanchez. Doubt they will do much against Soton away.
Just want players in a team I’d be excited watching every weekend. Don’t think spurs offer the same excitement they had under poch!
As planned I did Son to Bruno as many had that plan as well. For those of you who followed through on that are you now considering a 4PH to bring in KDB? A penny for your thoughts on that.
Depends who you are bringing him in for
For me it would be Auba. That may not be the case for everyone, hence the vagueness to my post.
Yeah I don’t see the point in transferring Auba out for KDB. It’s a week early. Auba is probably the best captain pick this week
I’ve kept 3.5m itb to do All straight to KDB. A sub at half time has made that decision pretty straight forward.
I’ve just gotta make the opposite decision in weather to bring in Bruno or go with Martial as I’d originally planned. :scratch_one-s_head:
Auba -> KDB after GW2
God forbid KDB nets, gets an assist and a CS and Pep sits him in week 3. Oh the perils of decisions around City players.
Classic Spurs.
