Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.

Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.

Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

  2. Did anybody else bench Hegazi this week? No? Just me? I’ll get my coat.

    • didnt have him Webstar to bench

    • I actually feel less bad than when I would have had him. He was in all my teams but he would have started on the bench for sure over Alonso, Davies and Stephens (7 points). Heartbreak is less now. 😉

    • I did. I remember doing the exact same thing with Coleman 2 seasons ago. Great start to the season.
      (I also have Fabregas)

    • I had him, Lowe, Stones and Yoshi and benched Lowe. All 4 had CSs though, so I am still ending up with points on the bench. But don’t worry webstar, just play him next week. Plus he will probably rise in price already tomorrow.

  3. Had to share this guys…..might never see it again…fantasy scores don’t matter this weekend,tonight I go to bed happy whatever…. smile

    • Haha enjoy the moment brooky! I think I’ve got a similar screenshot saved somewhere from about 10 years ago when Pompey were top of the pile.

      • Banjo I remember going to watch Town as a boy when we were scrapping it out with Portsmouth in the old 4th division 1979/80 season.Always remember that game at the old Leeds Rd,as there was over 20,000 there and there were no seats left in the stand so we had to sit on the steps ! You had a hex over us that season,You beat us 3-1 and 4-0 down at your spot !! We finished as champions though ! smile
