Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.
Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.
Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

Really keen to do tekkers to vardy, but I’d need to make up 0.5. Where could I do that? And too soon for a hit?!
Kompany for Stones or Danilo will give you 0.5 but then you’re taking a hit in GW2.
Do you think it’s a bit extreme to take a hit for it already? If I wait then vardy will go up and kompany to stones/danilo wont give me enough funds.
I wouldnt care about a hit this early – best time really for the right player.
Might be worth seeing how Ritchie does tomorrow? he could become Gross for example – or the Xhaka (probably chasing last weeks points there though) or Brunt
Cheers dreamers. I think I’ll be hitting for tekkers to vardy tomorrow then. I’ll annoy you all again for advice in 24 hours 😉
Can any one please tell me Lindelof is a non-starter for tomorrow? Hegazi and his 15 points are waiting on my bench
And how did J-Rod do? BBC text said he looked sharp but 1 point suggests otherwise
Sounded good from what I heard, but Pulis shut up shop at 1-0, so I’d probably lean away from baggies attack.
I’m considering using him as a make-weight with Fabregas to get Vardy and RLC/Elneny. Match of the Day and a few beers should help me decide
Haha for your sake I hope so!!! Consensus on here is that he’s at risk, but he’s played every pre season game, so I reckon you’ll need to be very lucky!
That what I thought. Ah well. I’m sure it’s the first of many mistakes and near misses this season
I have Daniels and 0.5mn in the bank
Should I get Bertrand or a Soton defender or should I give Daniels some time?
From what I heard Betrand was very good and if you don’t have Saints cover I’d certainly recommend him. He had a lot of good crosses and created several goal scoring chances
Cheers mate
Guess that will be my transfer then
why was he taken off?
3 of the next 5 are bad – I’d consider selling. Who else you have at the back ?
Danilo Davies Daniels Suttner and Long
dawson?
They have Watford at home next I’d keep him for now !
Cheers mate
An assist would just do if not a CS
I’d keep him for Watford game
Cheers mate
thinking of bringing in xhaka, vary and salah… i love these people ahaha
That’s life
Though Salah looked promising
Worth getting in
aha I’m joking, got firmino so that will do my pool coverage for now
Same here
Firm should make up for the Salah points
Judging from the Community Shield game, Xhaka is on most set pieces, no? This in a way justifies the hype train. Plus an easy fix for the Fabregas owners I guess.
Anyone else see this on the BBC commentary page?
Might make some with bad scores feel better!
4-3-3 with both Ake and Francis to have a mid trio of Alli Sane and Klaassen.
Looks strange 😉
More points than me I feel worse lol
Lol, how many do you have?
21 with 4 to play including captain
Could be worse I guess Smash, look at the team you have linked (from last season I assume)!
Ah yeah. It just hurts that my other draft team did a lot better
Ok, that’s pretty painful.
What’s the points difference between your drafts?
I took out Salah and Firm late yesterday so feel your pain
It’s the Salah and Firmino instead of Fabregas and Jesus decision
That’s not to say it won’t work the other way next week mate.
Very true
It probably won’t though as Fab is suspended, can’t see him getting many points!
You know hat I mean Gear!
Evening all
MOTD should be a cracker on now…
Going to watch it now mate. My biggest mistake last season was doing too much ‘site work’ and not enough watching of the game itself. Rectifying that as we speak! Half way through an article update but that can wait.
Mounie looks a monster pace n power
He looks a decent player! Defo keep an eye on him
Init,
When you have a moment-I am struggling with creating an avatar. I have a saved jpeg picture, but am flummoxed about next moves. No hurry, and thanks.
Pray for my heavy hitters tomorrow (Sunday).

Init,
Thanks for the link. On my way. Oh, and Davies (a sub for Trippier) turned out to be my “big hitter”? Funny old game.
Looking forward to it Ki after all this time!
Nice gesture of them to put Huddersfield on second. What a Premier League start for them.
