Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.

Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.

Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

Great game! Buzzin with kola! He is going to have an amazing season!

Really impressed with lacazette’s play and Rambo looked pretty sharp considering he’s just come back from a knock!

4-3 crazy game…Leicester at least deserved a draw…Vardy lookin sharp and Kolasinac too..5 points to kick off with..had Xhaka in my team until late afternoon but chicken out..was between him and Kola..not a too bad start thou..how did you’re all done so far??

    • 44.1

Well i have worked hard for my 0 points tonight Redmen. smile

      chins says:

I don’t get that. Why did they deserve at least a draw?
Yes Arsenal had spells of shite play and scored two late goals, but that doesn’t mean it was an undeserved win imho

      • For the record I didnt say that the win was underserved.

Leicester put enough in to the match to warrant a mention and it was hard on them I think.

Arsenal’s league to throw away chins. smile

        • AT says:

No, I agree with GP. Leicester should feel disappointed. Also, Kolasinac at centre back is awful; in a four back he’s embarrassing.

        • chins says:

For the record, I didn’t say that you did say that they didn’t deserve to say that they didn’t deserve to draw. However, I do think we’ll lose plenty games this season if we continue playing like that. Which we will, because we have a fool for a manager.
Now, if you’ll excuse me I have a wildcard to activate to get Vardy and Xhaka into my team…

        • smile

If you don’t put Emre Can in your wildcard with Granit then you don’t get life.

        • inittowinit says:

Oh come on GP, you know Chins better than that, he’s manoeuvred you into a hook, line & sinker that didn’t even exist laugh :hippo:

        • chins says:

          Yeah! Hate that guy.

Evening Mr late night cheese plate. How are you?

        • inittowinit says:

Haha. Stop it! You’ll have the poor lad crying into his whisky chaser soon smile

Yeah, all good. Yourselves? Take it you’re all settled and fully Yanked up now and won’t be coming back any time soon?

Which week do you reckon you’ll give up this year? My money is on 5 smile

        • chins says:

          Good stuff mate.
Yep. Properly settled. Did pop back a couple of months ago but no follow up visits planned any time soon.
I’ve found a few guys at work now who play FPL so hopefully that mini league will keep me more interested. I’ve also set Match of the day to series record so I can watch it every week after the kids are in bed. If I can stop FF interrupting with everyday life I’ll be happy and hopefully better at the game.
So in conclusion, pencil me in for a NiN no later than week 7.

Evening all, just a note to let you know how the H2H leagues are now. The Premier, Championship, Division 1, Division 2 and Division 4 have 20 teams. One is the Admin team which you will all play twice and earn 6pts as the team is set up to get no points. As for Division 3 there are only 19 teams, as a member did not enter. This league has the FF247 Admin team in and as in the other divisions you will all get 6pts. There is also an Average team and as the name suggests this is the average score each gw that you have to beat when you play it. So thats it in a nutshell. Good luck to all who are in the leagues.
Entry into these leagues is now closed for the season but people can still enter the classic league if they want. There will be the usual cup competition, details in a few weeks.
    Cheers,
    Elle.

The highest scoring team is horrendous hahah
£20m in the bank with several non-starters.

TC Vardy. 69 points from one game. Good effort.
