Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 10.
No early deadlines this week – not even a Saturday lunchtime kick-off. We don’t get started until 3pm on Saturday. Ah the good old days are back. Well for a week anyway.
We have five 3pm matches to get us under way, some more exciting than others it has to be said.
Brighton vs Wolves and Southampton vs Newcastle have the capability to send the most die-hard footy fan to sleep. Liverpool vs Cardiff will have most of us expecting to need a calculator to total our FPL points, while Bournemouth will be licking their lips at the thought of an afternoon’s shooting practice vs Fulham. Watford vs Huddersfield complete the quintet.
The evening match sees the Hammers & Arnie limp up to Leicester.
The Sabbath sees a Holy Trinity of matches – first up Sarri and his cheer leaders on the bench go to Burnley, while fellow Europa competitors Arsenal cross the Thames to face Palace.
The later game sees Fellaini present host Fellaini past at Old Trafford.
The best may yet be to come though as Spurs host Man City at their temporary housing shelter. Time for Kane or time for Kun?

*terms and conditions apply and are available upon request. Management reserve the right to review membership of this league on an ongoing basis. If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

Wolf’s have only let 9 goals in. Kave has not got his shoring boots with him. Murray and knock to kdb.

Looked it to me, he won the ball.
It’s a common misconception and I used to be a ref years ago. Getting the ball is one thing, of course. If he slides in with say both feet in front of the player, then good job, play on. When he goes in that height between the legs then it’s a foul, should have got a yellow. The pundits will tell you later what they think.
I don’t agree on the yellow for a dive. There was genuine contact and he went down as a result of that.

They said it was a dive too, don’t get it myself, looked like a good tackle with inevitable contact afterwards and Martial went down naturally.

Zorro – just woke up and thought I’d check the comments in the middle of the night (as you do!) and I’m glad to see you didn’t bite any further as I have a confession to make here – I was simply winding you up, and I feel bad about it now. And I apologise for doing so. I honestly thought you’d twig after a couple, especially when I started to twist your words illogically. It was a 50/50 call. I still maintain he got the ball first but I’ve no idea on the rules beyond that and you’re probably correct.
I can but extend my apologies though and hope that you accept them in good faith, I never intended that to go beyond one jokey comment.

I’ve seen people on twitter mentioning the Liverpool connection in Barca’s win. They ( Suarez & Coutinho) no longer play for Liverpool and both wanted to leave the club so how they do now is irrelevant to me.

I have no ill will towards any ex Pool player or any player for that matter. I’ll support any player in a Pool jersey, even the sh1t ones, but once a player leaves Liverpool they no longer matter.

The best was no doubt the infamous 4-4 in the FA Cup. The most memorable was the win away at Anfield when Kevin Ratcliffe scored from about 40 yards with the help of some very questionable goalkeeping!
