Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. We are back with a Saturday lunchtime kick-off as Bournemouth attempt to keep up their recent good form and make Jose even more miserable and negative, if that is indeed possible. We then have just four games at 3pm ahead of an extended and unusual evening program. At 3pm we have Cardiff hosting Leicester in what will be an emotion filled occasion, Everton will be looking to get back to winning ways with a home game against traditionally poor travellers Brighton, Newcastle will be seeking, and probably failing to get, their first win against a more than vibrant Watford and West Ham will have the red carpet out for Joe Hart.

Saturday evening is a husband’s delight and a wife’s nightmare and many a remote will be wrestled over. And no doubt many a husband banished to the shed to watch the games on their mobile! Arsenal play Liverpool in the traditional 5.30pm slot before we then get the bonus of Spurs going to Wolves at 7.45pm. Both could be crackers in their own right.

Sunday is a bit of a strange one as the two games overlap each other. Man City kick us off at 3pm as they see how many they can put past Southampton in what is usually referred to as ‘shooting practice’. Chelsea and Palace then lock horns at 4pm in a local (ish) derby.

The gameweek concludes on Monday with a preview (the way things are looking) of one of next seasons Friday Night Championship clashes as Huddersfield host Fulham.

  2. Hi everyone,

    Got a plan for the next two gameweeks, going for 3-5-2 over 3-4-3.

    GW12 (2 FTs): Mitrovic > Kamara (tonight) and Richarlison > Mane a bit later on as Richarlison’s price will be going up and Liverpool are playing again beforehand

    GW13 (1 FT): Firmino > Arnautovic or someone else and Hojbjerg > Richarlison for a -4

    Means I’d have Hojbjerg playing this week and Richarlison is going to come back in once he’s been away to Chelsea, with a bit of value lost along the way, but I can’t think of anyone else to drop for Mane (when Alonso, Hazard, Sterling, Aguero and even Firmino either have good fixtures or form) and I can’t face a repeat of Liverpool v Cardiff when I had neither Mane or Salah!

    Your thoughts would be much appreciated smile

    • I don’t like the idea of selling Richarlison and then buying him in for a hit immediately… If you sell him, you can’t buy him back for a hit, have to wait for GW14 imo!

    • I would try to factor Salah into your calculations, even if it means losing Sterling or Hazard over the short term.

      Some manoeuvre where Firmino becomes Arnie, Sterling/Haz becomes Salah and someone else becomes Mane may not be a bad way of planning. I appreciate you’ll be keeping Firmino for the Fulham game.

    • I think I’d go for Patricio or Fab as goalie.

      I wouldn’t have Peltier, I’d want a starter. The Xmas games will soon be upon us and you’ll want XIV starters.

      I would have Robertson.

      I would think about having Mane and Salah. Kun or Sterling will probably need to make way to enable this.

      If planning a 3/5/2 check how far Deeney is from a return as he may well start and play most of the 90 mins ahead of Success.

        • I’ve just checked your team and transfer history and it’s a -8 if I’m not mistaken? Not entirely convinced in that case. Well I say entirely, probably just not smile

        • I’m on about making them changes in the coming weeks?

          Shall we start again? We’ll get you doing these RMT things correctly eventually…! Best bet is to stick your current team up with FT’s and money available and take it from there.

        • I would say that only having Robertson could haunt you for the Fulham game. Richarlison is away to Chelsea and Martial will be against Man City, so they’ve not got good fixtures straight away.

    • Assume you have 2FT.
      How about just Ozil > Richarlison and Zaha > Arnie this week?

      • Swirly has a point about Richarlison there. Maybe not essential for next week.
        How about Laca and Ozil to Arnie and Mane then?

        • Arsenal have wolves at home though?, would you risk taking out Hazard they have Everton then spurs?

        • They’d be better moves, no Liverpool attack this week could hurt you a lot. He is an Arsenal fan though so this could take some convincing smile

        • Would you take a -4 on them transfers?

        • Aarron, I get what you’re saying about ARS next fixture, home to WOL, but look at who Mane has (FUL at home) and who Arnie has (HUD away). I think both of those are better fixtures than ARS next week.

          Also, beyond that, LIV and WHU have better fixtures than ARS in the next 3, so those moves should reap returns for a good few weeks.

          The -4 isn’t ideal, but seems like good business if it allows you to pick up both these players in time for their plum GW12 fixtures. Unless you still have your WC handy of course?

        • Just looked at the fixtures Liverpool and West ham do have better game’s, would you get Richardson for game week 13 against Cardiff?

        • Hi Aarron. Yes, that seems the logical time to pick up Richarlison. I may well make that move myself 🙂

  6. Mitro to Arnie tonight or wait and see how he gets in tomorrow? If he scores I’d be half tempted to keep him for the Southampton game and do Ings – Arnie instead.

    • I’d wait on it if you can AK. A week is a long time in Arnie’s world. There’s chairs to sit on and meals to make, not to mention the odd training session, any of which could seemingly incapacitate / kill him!

      • Seen west ham’s game after Huddersfield Man City that’s a concern for me?

        • That’s one tough fixture in a sea of great fixtures. That shouldn’t be a deterrent to getting Arnie in for GW12 imo.
