Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. We are back with a Saturday lunchtime kick-off as Bournemouth attempt to keep up their recent good form and make Jose even more miserable and negative, if that is indeed possible. We then have just four games at 3pm ahead of an extended and unusual evening program. At 3pm we have Cardiff hosting Leicester in what will be an emotion filled occasion, Everton will be looking to get back to winning ways with a home game against traditionally poor travellers Brighton, Newcastle will be seeking, and probably failing to get, their first win against a more than vibrant Watford and West Ham will have the red carpet out for Joe Hart.

Saturday evening is a husband’s delight and a wife’s nightmare and many a remote will be wrestled over. And no doubt many a husband banished to the shed to watch the games on their mobile! Arsenal play Liverpool in the traditional 5.30pm slot before we then get the bonus of Spurs going to Wolves at 7.45pm. Both could be crackers in their own right.

Sunday is a bit of a strange one as the two games overlap each other. Man City kick us off at 3pm as they see how many they can put past Southampton in what is usually referred to as ‘shooting practice’. Chelsea and Palace then lock horns at 4pm in a local (ish) derby.

The gameweek concludes on Monday with a preview (the way things are looking) of one of next seasons Friday Night Championship clashes as Huddersfield host Fulham.

The games in full…

Guys what would you do here? I’m really not sure what to do now?

Mahrez will always be a pain in your arse, at least occasionally anyway. He’ll probably play this week now though so it may be worth simply keeping the FT and going into the IB with 2? Possibly need to address the double Bournemouth by then too so may an idea to do so.

      • man u man says:

Cheers Initt. I think I may hold. I bought de bruyne and mane this week for knockeart and Sterling. I then had to sell de bruyne for mahrez, which cost me -8. Ffs you couldn’t make shit like this up.I think I’ve learned my lesson about doing early transfers though.

        • inittowinit says:

Ouch! That’ll be a kick in the knackers you won’t easily forget though.

        • Smash says:

          Christ that’s haunting

        • GentleBenAKA says:

Wow. A suggestion for an article during the IB: “What’s your worst ever early transfer?”. A few answers from the site guys, then the comments section open for everyone else to self deprecate.

        • AT says:

Nice idea, Ben. I personally don’t think I would be able to contribute because no transfers are springing to mind! Not sure if that is because I rarely make early transfers (and none of those has turned out bad), or because I’ve got a rubbish memory… laugh

        • inittowinit says:

Current site writer most in danger of disappearing up their own arse, could be another one, just sprung to mind, no idea why.

        • AT says:

Genuinely didn’t mean it like that! Hey, I finished 900k a few seasons ago so I must have made loads of crappy decisions that year, I just don’t remember them!

What do you think of this team?, it’s my mates team, he’s 72 points behind me at the moment, reckon they will score loads of goals that team?

Good morning gents! I have 1ft and 2.5 itb, I can do Salah and Barkley to Mane and Hazard for -4, Good or bad idea, 0.1 to play with at the moment 😉

Brought in Arnie and was really smug with myself for the 12 point haul.

Then I checked my team this morning and noticed he is sitting on my bench. Because I am an idiot and forgot to save my team.

    FML.

Well, I won’t be captaining Mendy again any time soon. Was lured into a gamble by that muppet who wrote the Captain Picks article.

Morning guys, wildcard is activated and a bit stumped as to which way to go. Early thoughts on this team? And yes I have taken out Aguero

      Chipster says:

I’m not a fan to be honest. That killer midfield has left you very thin up front and for your 4th and 5th defenders.

I would try to upgrade Vokes to Jiminez (at the very least) to give you two decent options upfront. You also need to upgrade Peltier in my opinion. I would not be bringing a red flagged player into my team on a WC at this stage of the season, even as an enabler. You already have Kayal and Success and AWB as cheap enablers. Try upgrading to a cheap WHU, BRI, NEW or WAT defender who starts. You will need to downgrade either Mendy/Alonso to Laporte/Rudiger/Luiz, or downgrade one of your power mids to someone like Richarlison to get the cash though.

      • migs says:

Thanks Chipster, if I get lucky with a price rise then that will give me enough to bring in Jiminez for Vokes.

        • Chipster says:

Another thing to consider is that you have TAA and Sterling in there who have both already been victims of random rotation this season. You will be relying on them starting every week, or else you’ll be dependent on your cheap enablers to sub in. That’s why I’d be worried about having so many rock-bottom cheapies in there.

      Gear says:

I’m not liking your front line mate, although the defence and mids are on point.

Personally, I’d take the WC opportunity to move Peltier and Stekelenburg on. Come the Christmas period a full squad might be useful. Like I said though, that’s just a personal preference.

I’d suggest you deactivate your WC (if it’s not too late to do so).
