Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. We are back with a Saturday lunchtime kick-off as Bournemouth attempt to keep up their recent good form and make Jose even more miserable and negative, if that is indeed possible. We then have just four games at 3pm ahead of an extended and unusual evening program. At 3pm we have Cardiff hosting Leicester in what will be an emotion filled occasion, Everton will be looking to get back to winning ways with a home game against traditionally poor travellers Brighton, Newcastle will be seeking, and probably failing to get, their first win against a more than vibrant Watford and West Ham will have the red carpet out for Joe Hart.

Saturday evening is a husband’s delight and a wife’s nightmare and many a remote will be wrestled over. And no doubt many a husband banished to the shed to watch the games on their mobile! Arsenal play Liverpool in the traditional 5.30pm slot before we then get the bonus of Spurs going to Wolves at 7.45pm. Both could be crackers in their own right.

Sunday is a bit of a strange one as the two games overlap each other. Man City kick us off at 3pm as they see how many they can put past Southampton in what is usually referred to as ‘shooting practice’. Chelsea and Palace then lock horns at 4pm in a local (ish) derby.

The gameweek concludes on Monday with a preview (the way things are looking) of one of next seasons Friday Night Championship clashes as Huddersfield host Fulham.

The games in full…

I know it’s early days but considering moves for next week! I’ve got Mitrovic for this week but want him out for next! I have 2FT and 0.1itb. Worth bringing Wilson in or worth doing Salah and Mitrovic to the team below?

How do I fit Salah in here?

Well I’ve done my two transfers already. This never happened maybe it’s madness or I’m just baiting myself to have to use my wildcard if something goes wrong

At least you haven’t done something completely wild, like activate free hit or something.

I’m seeing signs of strain in my mini-league – chips being played, huge hits being taken.

It’s not a terrible week to wildcard (if it pans out that way). I wonder if many will ditch Kun in order to go with Salah and Mane. The Liverpool fixtures are very good.

      • Smash says:

Nah not that wild. Just had the exact cash. Bought Arnie and Diangana for Success and Maddison. For free.

Yeah I’ve seen a few hits I thought I had a shocker but I’m on average with a lot of big players to go. But yeah a red arrow but not massive.

I’d fancy Aguero to score against that United defence. City won’t let up against their rivals. If it weren’t for Salah’s easy fixture I’d have no problem captaining him

      • Chipster says:

Hi Kralin. Meant to ask how your WC went a couple of weeks ago (think we both WC’d at the same time). A success? An abject failure? Somewhere in-between?

Also, how are you doing this GW so far?

I am on 36pts, with only Haz, Mitro and captain Sterling to come. I am on a nice green arrow after yesterday, but having no CHE or MCI defence is scaring me today. If they both keep CS then I am screwed. And of course, Kun could also punish me big, as he is massively owned in my MLs and massively captained this week.

Needless to say, I am not looking forward to today’s matches 🙁

        • Kralin says:

Hello again Chips. Well things worked out very well for you; congratulations on the Sterling captaincy.

This GW has been v good so far, mainly because I went for Sterling when I wildcarded. I didn’t captain him today though, had Kun instead. But I can’t grumble. The transfer worked out this week – Arnie in for King. So am on 89 with Mitrovic to go.

The wildcard has gone well so far, in that I’ve risen a bit since (from 200k odd to 80k). I went for Sterling and Hazard with the plan of switching to Liverpool players next week, which I just about got away with. Hazard I ditched last week. Big question next week is Salah or Mane. The former will mean throwing Sterling over; the latter keeping him. I’ll be pondering all that.

        • Chipster says:

Hi Kralin. Thanks. Nice to hear this update.
Wow, that’s a great GW score for you. Having Kun and Sterling – your cup runneth over!
I’m in a similar position, on 82 with Mitro to go.
I kept Salah in my WC (well, sold and rebought him slightly cheaper) so I am hopefully sorted for next week. Tough choice between Salah and Mane – I don’t envy you having to squeeze either of them in.
Good luck, whatever you decide 🙂

        • Kralin says:

Great stuff and thanks, pleased to see you in the 80s and riding high in the OR.

Is Wilson worth a -4? If so what do I do to make up the .5?

Lose tipp, Schürrle or make McCarthy a non starter (happy with heart for the next 3 gws)
