Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12. Friday night football is back! Don’t get too excited…it’s a bottom of the table clash as Norwich host Watford. Given how bad these two teams are it could be anything from a scoreless draw to a 5-5 cracker. The safe bet is a boring scoreless draw.

Saturday kicks off at lunchtime as an in form Chelsea team host a Palace side who have taken one point from their last three games. 3pm sees a battle between two teams in freefall as Burnley host West Ham. Bournemouth face the long trip north to play Newcastle. Southampton host Everton in a game that will challenge Friday night’s game for the worst game of the weekend! John Lundstram travels to London to face Spurs. Saturday draws to a conclusion as free scoring Leicester host a clueless Arsenal side.

There are two games at 2pm on Sunday as United host Brighton and Wolves host Villa in what is likely to be a fiery Midlands derby. They have unquestionably saved the best for last as at 4:30pm Liverpool host Man City in a game that will play a large part in deciding where the PL title ends up.

The games in full…

Bernardo Silva really ruined it for Robbo there! FPL aside — there’ve been points aplenty this weekend — what a huge match that was. They keep on saying “Liverpool will never get a better chance to win the PL than this” and “no side 8 points ahead by November has failed to win the PL before” but we’ve heard that all before…

Oh, by the way, I’ve got my squad in a right ol’ mess recently. 1 FT and just £2.7 to fix either Dendoncker or Martinelli when the looming IB has played out. Any objections to finally playing my Wildcard now? I’m torn. Absences of Leicester and Chelsea players are hurting my ranking.

can you do martinelli to jimmy, james?

james – yes I’d play the wc. Might as well.

      • jamesimmo says:

Which of my players would you fancy keeping hold of?

I’m currently thinking that both of my goalkeepers, Robertson, Lundstram, Vardy, Abraham, Salah and most likely KDB could all stay. Sterling —> Mané won’t enhance my budget for fixing the fodder. It’s a tricky one.

        • TheDreamers says:

hey james. Rico can prob stay too. think both City mids can be sacrificed – say Mane/Maddison over Sterling and KDB allows some reinvestment elsewhere

        • jamesimmo says:

You’re right, Dreamers, and I’d forgotten all about Rico — he’s fine for his modest price — cheers for your help.

I was punished by KDB in so many Gameweeks before squeezing him in, so I’ll struggle to let him go, but perhaps a few IB player injuries will simplify matters later and make my mind up.

      james

I count 5 changes (your outfield bench , Traore and Maritinelli) I would make and possibly Salah to Mane too. You may also wish to drop a City midfielder as well short term so that possibly is seven changes. I’d be tempted to WC.

      • jamesimmo says:

I’ve been tempted (for quite some time) too. That’s now 3 votes in favour of it…

After a quick play, I’ve made ~5 changes, but my budget’s frustrating. Do you reckon that said bench upgrades are worth it? I usually like my Wildcards to make major impacts on my team’s core players. Traoré doesn’t have my alternatives at his price.

        • eresh12 says:

hi james. make salah a chelsea player (pulisic), upggrade traore and improve the defence?

        • Yeah I agree with eresh – don’t look for a like for like on Traore. Rebalance your investments throughout the positions.

Jimenez would be in mine for what it’s worth.

        • jamesimmo says:

Moving on Salah just prior to his infamous hat-trick last season still haunts many of us here (myself included) to this day, but as a long-term squad redistribution, you’re both probably right. I’m activating my first Wildcard tonight…

Many thanks to both of you.

planning early for gw13 but wont commit the moves now. 2ft and 0.1itb. thinking sterling to tielemans/maddison/martial and pieters to robertson. any other moves you would suggest?

  3. 111
    TheDreamers says:

    Hi all,

I need a replacement for Mendy. Choices (early) are
Tomori – already have Abraham and Mount. Would mean I would need to sell Mount if want Pulisic. Also they play City next.
Soy – already have Vardy and Maddison. Means cant get Tielemans.
Janmaat – next 2 are decent but some hard ones are coming up

    Others?

Lundstram has as many points as Kun. Lolz. People who don’t have him yet, should probably be ashamed to call themselves fpl manager. Discuss.

Is it time to get rid of Kun & Yam if so who City do have a decent run of fixtures ???

    71 all out.

Disappointed TAA didn’t get owt and looks like it’s time for Sterling or KDB to go. And Cantwell but he’ll probably have to wait.
