Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12. Friday night football is back! Don’t get too excited…it’s a bottom of the table clash as Norwich host Watford. Given how bad these two teams are it could be anything from a scoreless draw to a 5-5 cracker. The safe bet is a boring scoreless draw.

Saturday kicks off at lunchtime as an in form Chelsea team host a Palace side who have taken one point from their last three games. 3pm sees a battle between two teams in freefall as Burnley host West Ham. Bournemouth face the long trip north to play Newcastle. Southampton host Everton in a game that will challenge Friday night’s game for the worst game of the weekend! John Lundstram travels to London to face Spurs. Saturday draws to a conclusion as free scoring Leicester host a clueless Arsenal side.

There are two games at 2pm on Sunday as United host Brighton and Wolves host Villa in what is likely to be a fiery Midlands derby. They have unquestionably saved the best for last as at 4:30pm Liverpool host Man City in a game that will play a large part in deciding where the PL title ends up.

The games in full…

Evening all! I know we have a long IB to ride out but trying to forward plan. Is there anything I need to do here? I have 2FTs so don’t really want to lose a transfer and not do anything! I’m wary of letting either Sterling or KDB go as both are class players and can easily score big in any game! Thoughts!

If Pep wants to really go all out in the league then Sterling might get more game time but right now he misses too many matches to be worth the money. If you sold him & Guendouzi you could get Martial & Maddison with cash to spare for defence

      • igy4 says:

Sterling has only missed one full game out of 12, played 75 in one and 85 in another, all other games 90 mins. He is getting more time than I remember him getting last season. Do we think Martial and Maddison will outscore Sterling and likely Jimenez as I’d have to play 5 in midfield if getting them both.

        • Snookie Bear says:

He simply isn’t worth the money right now, get Salah or as SAFL said Martial and Maddi, Pool have great fixtures and form as well with all the rotation of Pep and City’s form KDB would be enough cover at the moment!

Hey igy there really isn’t much for you to do if you’re in the “City players are still good” camp and even if you do make plans then some unexpected event will derail them for sure.

Personally I’m sticking with Sterling until at least his next yellow card.

You’re gonna find a lot of contrasting views on that.
I’d still give them sometime before moving them out.
You’re currently in the enviable predicament of having a team which needs hardly any changes

If u had 0.3 I’d have suggested Sterling to Salah solely not to lose out on the FT.

Don’t usually post these tidbits, but this has truly been a ‘down and up’ season. Much more enjoyable these last few weeks!

Hello, have to activate the wildcard, rank declined from 7k to 700k. Kindly rate this team.
    Thanks

If I was WC-ing I’d look to get both Salah and Mane.
Maybe lose 1 of Martial/ Rashford to fit him in?

      • Nishu says:

Agree and I wish… but not getting the way.. you suggest boss
One way is to sacrifice De Bruyne
Other way is to give up on both rashford and martial
And last, any of the above 2 along with 2 high price defenders.

        • United next 4 fixtures are not straight forward. SHU away will be very tough. Then you have TOT and MCI too. I’d get in Pulisic instead if you can fit him in, maybe downgrade Rashford, and upgrade Dendonker.

    • 137.2

Yeah I think I prefer Pulisic to Martial and/or Jimenez to Rashford (depending on how desperate you are to hold on to Manchester United cover).

In fact that would probably be player-for-player, my wildcard just now.

Defence and midfield is excellent. Well done.

      • Nishu says:

Thanks, Rashford will be Jimenez, just holding to gain price rise.
Pulisic, isn’t a rotation risk? I’m thinking of David Silva..
        Do share your team

      • Nishu says:

Want some differentials to cover 50 points lead, my league leader is holding. Please suggest

        • You don’t want to waste it by taking too many differentials. I like your squad. Let them make mistakes and you be ready to jump on them. 50 points isn’t a lot and can be wiped out in a couple of weeks or one VERY good week.

Pulisic may be at risk of rotation, as will all the Chelsea midfielders at some point, but he’s in great form and I would risk it. You have cover on your bench if needed. He’ll probably get as many minutes if not more than David Silva.

        • AJW says:

Yes I believe GP is right. Let THEM make the mistakes- keep a straight bat and maybe just change Rashers into Jiminez. I think Martial in himself could be a pretty good differential. Jimmie too although his ownership is increasing (Grrr – gnashing of teeth!!!).
I was thinking of staying firm with the blokes I’ve got now and let people around me make rash errors. Since my WC in GW9 my rankings have improved a fair bit (in fact have never been in my current position in my 3 years playing FPL! It may not remain that way so I will count my blessings!)
Pretty happy atm but wanna protect myself! Sort of similar positions! Hope all goes well for ee!!!

        • Smash says:

50 points is not a lot that can be made up in a GW. It’s when it’s 100 points that’s more of a concern

      • Nishu says:

Thanks GP and AJW… post Rashford to Jimenez and martial to Pulisic… left with 1.5 in bank.. anywhere I can use these?
What’s your thought on Ings, Salah and Tomori in place of Rashford Martial and Robertson

Can’t have Salah, Mane and Trent, Roboo all together laugh

      • Smash says:

I’m struggling to fit three in as it is

        • Zed Leppelin says:

I can barely afford Sterling to Mane, would leave 0.0 in the bank… There’s no way I can get Robbo in with a 1FT, so it’s Salah/Mane/TAA for me I think…

        • DMC says:

I think the value pick is Trent and Robbo + one from Mané/ Salah. The way things stand the formers will either score a cleanie or have attacking returns. Either way they are capable of bps when that happens. Mane and Salah too of course and there’s the captain potential to factor in but you can’t captain both in the same gw and they cost the double-ish than the defenders but are only on 2-ish points per match above them. So, for me, that’s Trent/Robbo/1mid which also potentially leaves room for a City mid.
