Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14. We are entering a busy FPL week with no less than 3 game-weeks covering the next 10 days. Game-week 14 kicks off tonight with a visit across the Severn for Wolves – Cardiff will be sniffing blood after watching Huddersfield tame Nuno’s pups last week.

Saturday then brings us six matches – first up we have five 3pm kick-offs as Palace host Burnley, Brighton go to Huddersfield, Leicester welcome Watford, Bournemouth try and stop Pep’s rampant machine and Arnie and his Hammers limp up to Newcastle.

The evening match sees Jose coming up against someone worse off than himself as United travel to Southampton.

Sunday sees our final three matches of GW14 before thoughts turn to the quick turnaround to GW15!
And it’s Derby Day all round as Chelsea host Fulham, Spurs go to Arsenal before Liverpool and Everton wrap things up for us.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 14 from all at FF247!

Christ my team looks alright this week. Two free transfers and still a wildcard. Thinking Kane in for Aguero. Leaves no City coverage though

Hammerfan, or any Hammers fans, which of your defenders would you go for please? I know Kop went heavy on Balbuena in Tips so he’s favourite but just wanted to know from those who’ve watched them regularly too. TIA.

Init, certainly not a West Ham fan, but here’s my two cents. I don’t think any of them offer much from an attacking POV. According to Fix, Balbuena has had 2 shots on target all season, and 3 attempted assists; Diop has had 2 shots on target and 2 attempted assists; and Zabaleta has had 2 attempted assists.

Don’t know if you saw the West Ham team news, but Pellegrini said that Zabaleta will be rested in the upcoming fixture period, so probably one to avoid anyway. Cresswell is the best from his attacking stats (as I’m sure you would know), although Masuaku does get a look in, and I can’t either of them locking down that left-back spot in the busy Christmas period.

FWIW, Balbuena has loads of shots in comparison to Diop, even if barely any of them are on target! laugh

        Inittowinit – found it…lol

Ok, not really looked at the stats – but best options would be Diop or Balbuena. Masuaka can be a bit risky. Zabaleta is ok, but sometimes slow and might be rested soon. Cresswell is also a possible rotation.
Rice is another good option. Still young but coming along in leaps and bounds.

To summarise – Diop, Balbuena or Rice.

Get in Cardiff! That worked a treat, figured I’d stick the game on to see if I could hurry a goal along and bingo 15 seconds in… smile

He makes me think of that character from Viz in the 1990’s ‘Tarquin Hoilett – he always has to go to the….’

      • Kralin says:

I sometimes think that Viz offers one of the truest reflections of contemporary Britain.

        • AJW says:

Do you then think it a wise thing that I (in an attempt to broaden his horizons and possibilities for humour) offered a Viz annual to my 17 year old son? I mean – he HAS to know about alternative view points, doesn’t he? Thanks Kralin. Looks like I’ve been typecast – Guardian reader, BBC 6 & World listener, part-time FPL player, closet middle-aged Viz fan! smile

        • Kop Warrior says:

BBC6 is possibly the best station around when it comes to music.

        • Kralin says:

I don’t see why not. Some parts of it are brilliant. I’m very fond of The Drunken Bakers:

        • Brookyboy says:

Viz was brilliant.I’ve still got a box of old comics from about 25 years ago ! I used to like the “Top Tips” .
“Save money on contact lenses by cutting out small circles of clingfilm and pressing them into your eyes” was one of my favourites ! smile

        • Kralin says:

BBC R3 edges it for me. Especially the late evening output and the jazz on Saturdays.

But 6 is brill as well.

        • Kralin says:

Top tips is still there – in fact a lot of the content is as it was (The Drunken Bakers and a couple of others weren’t there in the ’80s, though, if memory serves). I liked Jelly Head back in those days.

        • Kop Warrior says:

I was blissfully listening to Mary Anne Hobbs on 6 this morning until my wife got up! She’s put on some playlist that has started with R Kelly, Shaggy and The Killers. Shoot me!!

      • AJW says:

Good to see I have found like-minded (dare I say ‘reasonable’?) people!

I loved Sweary-Mary & the Modern Parents – some parents at my kids primary school actually looked like them – even down to the guy’s goofy front teeth – AND they were very hippy-ish as well (sadly the kids are no longer in primary school! Ah time, the great leveller!). A Thanks one and all!

The lesson I’ll take from tonight is that Wolves are very poor, gotta sell Patricio for Ederson, I feel very lucky as a Doherty owner too, got a bit of a lucky goal but other than that he’s not been a threat at all!

    AT says:

Thought we were into a winner with Doherty scoring. Thought it was a clean sheet and 3 bonus in the bag. Alas…
