Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

With barely a moment to catch up or give any real thought to a transfer we are back again as we begin on Saturday and end on Monday with a chance for a quick breather before Boxing Day, but take it while you can as once next Saturday is here we then have a game or more every day on 9 of the next 10 days, spanning multiple GW’s. New Years Eve being the only one sans any action.

On that note we shall give you a quick update on our intentions in regards to publishing articles over this busy period. In short we shall have a bumper Christmas Tips on the 22nd with a Site Team edition on Xmas Eve. Beyond that it will probably just have to be ‘Live Match Chats’ with everybody fending for themselves / helping each other out, as the GW’s do literally seem to fall over each other from one day to the next, allowing us scant opportunity to say anything meaningful in-between. We do intend to post a brief FF247 Site Team update each time but there will be none of the usual Fixtures, Tips, Capos etc as there simply isn’t time or room. Plus we like our writers to have a good rest occasionally too!

GW14 itself begins on Saturday at 12.30 pm and ends on Monday night. The full line-up is in the picture below. Just also bear in mind, to complicate matters even more, that there are midweek Milk Cup games which involve Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, Everton and Man United.

  1. I got Salah this week. For a -8. He was getting away from me, price rising Thursday night and I bit the bullet.

    With the news he was being rested, removed the C from him.

    I’m languishing in – so low not even sure – 23rd? – in my ML .

    A couple of weeks ago, I switched the C from Vardy due to his poor form at home.

    I’m being beaten by ghost teams and those that dont know the info like the above.

    Tis a tough FPL year

    • Stick with it Dreamers its a tough season for a lot of us ! At least you got Salahs points and with the news he was likely to be benched it was the right decision.I also took Vardy out just before his haul against Brighton ! smile

  2. Fernandes and Wilson for Salah and Bamford?

    • I wanted to do those same moves but I don’t have 1.4 ITB.

    • The only way I can get Salah for the next gameweek is Wilson>Adams and KdB>Salah. All for a – 4. I’m not quite sure that’s the best moves.

    • How about for Vardy and Grealish ?

  3. Looks like ings will be out for a few weeks.

    Any ideas on what I should do? Happy to go with a -4 if needed.

          I think the lads are right and you probably need to get some Spurs cover. Obviously it will take a hit, but we know that’s not something you have an issue with smile

    • Ings to Adams would leave you enought to do Grealish to Son gw16.

      If you plan to wc early, it influences the thoughts.
      If you plan to not wc , but bb19, same point

      you do need to strengthen the bench for Christmas – someone will get a rest surely

  6. Which is ironic because it made my teeth itch owning him.

    • Apparently he possesses those freak-teeth you used to see sold as a toy: the ones you can wind up and they start opening and closing and possibly moving across whatever surface you’ve set them up on.

      The reason for City’s patchy form is that Jesus’ freak-teeth have freaked them all out.
