Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

With barely a moment to catch up or give any real thought to a transfer we are back again as we begin on Saturday and end on Monday with a chance for a quick breather before Boxing Day, but take it while you can as once next Saturday is here we then have a game or more every day on 9 of the next 10 days, spanning multiple GW’s. New Years Eve being the only one sans any action.

On that note we shall give you a quick update on our intentions in regards to publishing articles over this busy period. In short we shall have a bumper Christmas Tips on the 22nd with a Site Team edition on Xmas Eve. Beyond that it will probably just have to be ‘Live Match Chats’ with everybody fending for themselves / helping each other out, as the GW’s do literally seem to fall over each other from one day to the next, allowing us scant opportunity to say anything meaningful in-between. We do intend to post a brief FF247 Site Team update each time but there will be none of the usual Fixtures, Tips, Capos etc as there simply isn’t time or room. Plus we like our writers to have a good rest occasionally too!

GW14 itself begins on Saturday at 12.30 pm and ends on Monday night. The full line-up is in the picture below. Just also bear in mind, to complicate matters even more, that there are midweek Milk Cup games which involve Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, Everton and Man United.

The GW14 games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 14 from all at FF247!

Thanks for reading Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14.

Well thank god that game week is finished.

A grand total of 58 points which is slightly below the average.

I see so many teams in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s; well done to those who had a good week.

Not having Salah and Bruno is killing me.

Already brought in Salah for KdB for a -4 so that at least lessens that worry.

I will be free hitting in game week 18.

I currently have 8 double game week players plus Kane, Son and DCL.

Too much money built up in Son and DCL to transfer them out for additional double game week players.

Might triple captain Salah in the double game week.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

Hey everyone, I’ve got two FTs and I was planning on moving Wilson to Bamford, rolling the second.
The Chilwell news, with him likely out for a couple of weeks, throws it up in the air.

Open to suggestions but my preliminary thoughts were either:

    1) Chilwell to Dias and Wilson to Bamford

    2) Chilwell and Grealish to Robertson and Raphinha

I quite like the second one as I expect Robbo to do well but Raphinha feels like a downgrade and leaves me with Wilson up to (unless I fancy a -4). Also tempted by Lamptey to Dias for a -4 as I’ve given up hope with that guy!

    Cheers for any thoughts.

    Transfer time! :aikido:

Lords of the FPL, what idiocy shall yours truly embark on tonight?

Thinking Chilwell and Wilson must go, but so must a certain unnamed individual, and another uno andes sounding fella should probably enter. Somehow.

Dunno, it’s a tough one. I would suggest Pulisic to Fernandes and Wilson to Wellbeck but I doubt that works out. Maybe it does. Also Wellbeck’s fixtures would be all right if he wasn’t playing for B&HA. However Fernandes is the main issue and maybe by some miracle that idea works.

Wilson has on paper a nice GW18 fixture but that seems distant from where we’re currently stand

      • OddDane says:

Like the creativity here Kralin! Unfortunately I am 1.4 short of that move.

Would’ve been fun and nostalgic with Welbeck. Alas, I have a mere 0.4 itb, but two FTs (considering I went Taylor for Lamptey instead of listening to your advice last week, hence the idiocy… and my 50k lower rank :mosking: )

        • Kralin says:

I think I suggested ditching Kane last week which of course now seems less wise given his incoming games plus his featuring in GW18.

Your team is fine really. Chilwell’s injury is bloody annoying. I suppose Chilwell to TAA and Pulisic to someone all right, don’t ask me who, isn’t the worst punt. I’d get TAA myself (for Chilwell) if I had sufficient shekels. Or Chilwell to a Man City defender?

        • Kralin says:

‘Someone all right’ could be a Southampton mid for a quickie couple of games (not bad fixtures, very short term but a lot of things seem a bit short term at the moment).

        • OddDane says:

I thought of a city defender, e.g. Dias, but then remembered they play the lottery each time they need to decide on a starting xi.

Maybe just Chilwell to Dallas and see I arrive at any clever ideas with the extra funds :scratch_one-s_head:

        • OddDane says:

But yes; TAA + JWP/Bowen even Mount or Maddison could be an option

        • OddDane says:

It appears we’re no longer on the latest thread Kralin, oh well.. Appreciate the input, thanks!
