Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14
With barely a moment to catch up or give any real thought to a transfer we are back again as we begin on Saturday and end on Monday with a chance for a quick breather before Boxing Day, but take it while you can as once next Saturday is here we then have a game or more every day on 9 of the next 10 days, spanning multiple GW’s. New Years Eve being the only one sans any action.
On that note we shall give you a quick update on our intentions in regards to publishing articles over this busy period. In short we shall have a bumper Christmas Tips on the 22nd with a Site Team edition on Xmas Eve. Beyond that it will probably just have to be ‘Live Match Chats’ with everybody fending for themselves / helping each other out, as the GW’s do literally seem to fall over each other from one day to the next, allowing us scant opportunity to say anything meaningful in-between. We do intend to post a brief FF247 Site Team update each time but there will be none of the usual Fixtures, Tips, Capos etc as there simply isn’t time or room. Plus we like our writers to have a good rest occasionally too!
GW14 itself begins on Saturday at 12.30 pm and ends on Monday night. The full line-up is in the picture below. Just also bear in mind, to complicate matters even more, that there are midweek Milk Cup games which involve Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, Everton and Man United.
The GW14 games in full…
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 14 from all at FF247!

All prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the final GW.
El Ghazi scores again. Seems to be more in favour again?
West Brom losing cs is very unexpected.
KDB owners, you keeping or selling?
Giving him Newcastle and then reassess. Might switch to Son the next gameweek as Man City have Everton away whereas Spurs have Fulham at home. Mane for double Liverpool could be an option too.
Keeping for 18, selling for Bruno in 19
Probably keeping, given the fixture. Well, given the player as well, frankly.
However I could bring in Mane for a one-nite stand before wildcarding, so will see how
pissed I get on Xmas Daymy thinking progresses. One more game then he will become Son or Mane probably
Think I’m holding. It don’t really suit my set up to sell him which is a bit nuts. He has the fixtures to hopefully come good
Info about Reece James:
“Reece James’ knee scan test has come back with a positive answer but he needs to be rested to heal”

Don’t think he’ll get any minutes in the upcoming game.
Expected to miss next 2 games:

Hi all,
Looking at a strategy for GW18 and GW19. Current team below. Thinking these transfers between now and 19.
GW15
DCL > Adams
Veltman > Coufal
GW16
Forster > Darlow
GW19
Targett > Ogbonna
Stones > KWP
I’d have 1 FT to play with and would leave me looking like this:
BGW TEAM – 7 players
Darlow
Targett Stones Lewis
KDB Son
Wilson
DGW TEAM
McCarthy
Balbuena Coufal KWP Ogbonna
Anguissa Salah Bruno KDB (SG) Son (SG)
Bamford Adams Wilson (SG)
Any thoughts most welcome.
I dont really like that dgw team.Think i would rather free hit if you arent in gw18.No Chelsea,Leicester players or Pool defence could hurt plus triple hammers in defence is a little excessive.
I hear what you are saying with no Chelsea, Leicester and pool defence. I think I’d need to lose either of KDB or Son to afford them though… I need to have another look. The triple hammers was purely due to their two fixtures in 19. They could well keep 2 clean sheets!
I like a bit of forward planning so hats off to you for thinking it through.
That first transfer though – DCL has Sheffield United next – I’d be hesitant about moving him on just yet. He also plays in GW18.
I’d also be conscious of any value I had in players before casting them aside.
For what it’s worth my current thinking is – try as best I can to match the average in 18 and surpass it in 19.
8 players enough GW18 Kralin? Don’t want to use FH for those match ups.
Not sure what to do DGW 19. Are you planning to FH for it?
I am planning to use the FH in GW19 Bees. What I don’t really want is to plot and plan a side for 19 and see it disintegrate with injuries / suspensions etc. I like the complete freedom of manoeuvre that a FH will bring that week. Or maybe I’m just lazy and can’t face having to plan it through.
Re GW18 I have the first wildcard to play so will be fairly careful, especially with the bench players, making sure they play in GW18. My main thoughts are people like Kane, Son, KdB and so on. I have no idea how many I’ll end up with, yet – hopefully will get the captain right that week.
I mentioned earlier that if I hit the average score in 18 that’s fine by me.
That makes sense. It put my over the top thinking about GW19…so may follow your plan.
You are doing great and still have a WC…good job
Agreed, I would much rather hold DCL, but I need to find the money somewhere to make some changes. It’s a nasty headache this random BGW/DGW
Wouldn’t it be better to just build a dgw team and just skip gw18 and hope the few players you have will match the average?
And that was a question to Gear :big-lol:
Putting the captaincy on KdB that week will hopefully suffice.
Personal feeling is that GW18 isn’t really worth the candle in terms of chasing points but I could be and probably am wrong.
Yeah, that’s pretty much the plan apart from Darlow they were all DGW players coming in.
Losing Reece James is a real shame, especially as a Lamptey and Mitchell owner. Oh well.
Best have a good luck at the fixture tracker
Yeah I’m in same boat with Lamptey and James. Was pretty confident both would play. It’s a bit of a pain I might sell both. I have Kilman so hopefully he gets a run as Boly looked injured after the last game
I’m also in the same boat with Lamptey and James
Kilman has the weirdest looking arms I’ve ever seen. The left arm is like a weapon:
He apparently had them shaved down for aerodynamics – also mention of a gesture of possible ‘sacrifice by amputation in homage of Maradona’. Max is a real football fan and takes everything he does seriously! A monument to the game!
Also – just checked your weekly score and OR – congratulations Kralin – your prudence has really paid off. Enjoy your festive season!
Cheerio, AJW.
And (obviously!!!) to reduce the chance of getting hand-ball penalties against him, thus by increasing the likelihood of him returning to the starting line-up! What a professional is Max K!!!
