Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14
With barely a moment to catch up or give any real thought to a transfer we are back again as we begin on Saturday and end on Monday with a chance for a quick breather before Boxing Day, but take it while you can as once next Saturday is here we then have a game or more every day on 9 of the next 10 days, spanning multiple GW’s. New Years Eve being the only one sans any action.
On that note we shall give you a quick update on our intentions in regards to publishing articles over this busy period. In short we shall have a bumper Christmas Tips on the 22nd with a Site Team edition on Xmas Eve. Beyond that it will probably just have to be ‘Live Match Chats’ with everybody fending for themselves / helping each other out, as the GW’s do literally seem to fall over each other from one day to the next, allowing us scant opportunity to say anything meaningful in-between. We do intend to post a brief FF247 Site Team update each time but there will be none of the usual Fixtures, Tips, Capos etc as there simply isn’t time or room. Plus we like our writers to have a good rest occasionally too!
GW14 itself begins on Saturday at 12.30 pm and ends on Monday night. The full line-up is in the picture below. Just also bear in mind, to complicate matters even more, that there are midweek Milk Cup games which involve Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, Everton and Man United.

I think I would be inclined to get either a Manchester City defender or maybe even Michael Keane at Everton – who I’m looking at – and stay away from Brewster in all honesty,

Those two big defenders in the back are hampering you a bit but I don’t think you should exactly remove either. And I wouldn’t take KDB out unless there’s an obvious indication he isn’t going to play against Newcastle next.
May be one you just have to suck up and go without. See what happens over the games tonight and in the cup Tuesday and Wednesday as something unexpected could happen and things may be a bit clearer.

I was thinking about the Chillwell/Robertson conundrum as well, they’ve technically scored “half” the points that BFernandes has, so might be worth addressing too..

Good morning all
I am having the worst season ever so far. Every decision I make seems to be the wrong one. Captain Kane, not Bruno. Double Spurs and no Salah etc. etc. Anyway, is it worth ripping up this team to get Salah in? I can do it for a -8 I think.
Kane -> Bamford
Mount + Grealish – Salah and 6.4 ITB for a mid. Who do you think is worth it at that price? Or should I just stick with the team as is…? Is there another way to get Salah in? Maybe keep Kane and get rid of Son?
Any help is much appreciated.

Do you prefer Kane over Vardy, then? Even with Vardy’s DGW…However it would mean taking another hit to have the funds..like Pope out for Martinez…but then that’s -8

If you’re happy with your side play on as if there’s no DGW.
You can always FH the DGW as a last resort.

Mate – you’ve got around 8 players who will be playing 2 games in the DGW & 6 who will play only 1 game in that GW – that’s plenty! Seeing as the SGW includes DCL, KDB, Kane + Martinez, I’d say the only things you need to concentrate on are those NPRs (non-playing reserves) – make sure you’ve got all reserves likely to play & do the old BB in GW 19! However you might need to see for GW 18, as those 6 will be your only players – you might like to FH in GW18, but that’s up to you!

If there’s a WC incoming I’d take a hit for Salah and captain him.
Depending on your value and if you want certain players back after 16 (you’ll probably want Kane) then I’d ditch Vardy.
