Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

With barely a moment to catch up or give any real thought to a transfer we are back again as we begin on Saturday and end on Monday with a chance for a quick breather before Boxing Day, but take it while you can as once next Saturday is here we then have a game or more every day on 9 of the next 10 days, spanning multiple GW’s. New Years Eve being the only one sans any action.

On that note we shall give you a quick update on our intentions in regards to publishing articles over this busy period. In short we shall have a bumper Christmas Tips on the 22nd with a Site Team edition on Xmas Eve. Beyond that it will probably just have to be ‘Live Match Chats’ with everybody fending for themselves / helping each other out, as the GW’s do literally seem to fall over each other from one day to the next, allowing us scant opportunity to say anything meaningful in-between. We do intend to post a brief FF247 Site Team update each time but there will be none of the usual Fixtures, Tips, Capos etc as there simply isn’t time or room. Plus we like our writers to have a good rest occasionally too!

GW14 itself begins on Saturday at 12.30 pm and ends on Monday night. The full line-up is in the picture below. Just also bear in mind, to complicate matters even more, that there are midweek Milk Cup games which involve Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs, Everton and Man United.

    What should I do here?

    • Mahrez to Grealish, team looks strong

    • Have you got a chip plan?

      Mahrez downgrade is a shout, with Bowen/Raphina options of you’re planning for DGW19.

    • Maybe get in a Liverpool defender for one of the crocked Chelsea lads? Would require a downgrade elsewhere, maybe Mahrez…

  4. Hi all, 81 pts this week and a green arrow. Not bad after picking the wrong captain.

    What would you do here? 2FTs and 1.6M ITB.

    • Chilwell -> Robbo and roll other FT?

      • Yup a LIV defender in for Chilwell, and if still short move Wilson to Antonio/Rodrigo.

      • Thanks guys, I can do Chilwell to Robbo with 1FT or James and Wilson to Robbo and Che Adams with both. Depends who is more likely to return to fitness soonest.

  5. What’s everyone’s chip plan?

    • FH GW18, saving BB for a later DGW – maybe 26.

    • Go with what I have for the first blank. Building transfers to it. 8 players is prob enough. Free hit or TC Salah for the double. Free hit for the other blank and wildcard before a BB

      • Will the 2nd blank have less games than in gw18?

        • Not sure but this one looks ok. Might be potentially less as you would expect the good teams to go far in the cup

    • I am not making any plans.
      The way things are going we can hope at least the Christmas fixtures go ahead. Anything beyond that is just a massive uncertainty. Everything is changing daily with unbelievable speed and nobody knows what we’ll face next week, never mind mid January.

    • Transfers to get me to: 8 for 18 and 10 with two games for 19.

      TC 19 on Bruno or Mo.

      Save the FH for later in the season and be really happy I kept it when the next blank only has 4 teams playing or something

      BB DGW19
      WC2 GW25
      TC DGW26 or later

    • Definitely saving BB and TC for later in the season. I might FH the BGW, but the double really doesn’t look that enticing. I’ll just make sure I’ve got a few doublers – but won’t tear my team apart for it.
