Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14. A Tuesday night Live Match Chat… Woohoo! Everyone loves a midweek GW don’t they?! The points come thick and fast, no waiting around for the matches to start, it’s all or nothing and done in the blink of an eyelid, relatively. Tuesday has 4 games with Brighton hosting a resurgent Palace, Leicester looking to further disrupt Spurs’ season, an in-form Watford hoping to capitalise on Jose’s indecision as to whether to attack or stifle and it ends with West Brom and Newcastle staring blankly at each other from their own halves, waiting for the other to blink. And probably not even reacting when the other does.

Wednesday concludes our GW with another quick-fire succession of 6 games. Arsenal should see to Huddersfield comfortably, but then we say say that a lot of the Gunners… Bournemouth and Burnley could be anything from 0-0 to 1-0 either way. Exciting times. Chelsea will probably have far too much for Swansea and a heavy defeat could well see Mr Beleaguered on a park bench by Thursday morning. Moyesie will be looking to put one over on his old club as West Ham host Everton and Man City will be looking for a cricket score at home to the boring Saints before Stoke host Liverpool in the final game.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW14 from all at FF247!

  1. Anyone watching the Liverpool match? FFF has Matip one 1 save. Is he playing goal???

    • laugh

      • Seriously, was he in goal? I tried to see if Migs got a second yellow or something. Did he get injured and come off and they finished with 10 men? Wish I was watching it smile

        • No smile I’m not even sure what happens in such an instance, it’s an interesting question!

  2. Hazard and Costa out.

  3. Bloody Sterling.

  4. 49 looks to be the average at best guess. Seems high actually. How we all do?

    • Ecstatic with my 72 then! Finally have something to be excited about. Jumping 600k in the rankings I think, but I was at 1.9m coming into this week so…

    • I hobbled to 40. Which I’m actually not too disappointed with, given how half my team was benched.

    • 69 with bonus points i think. Think i will be in the top 100k for the first time this season smile

    • 48 for me.. may be a red arrow, but not uterly disappointed.

    • Looks like 44 for me once bonus has been added, with a drop of 10k to 39k on the cards – really happy to even be in the top 100k so not too disappointed.

    • Looking like 45 for me, which is double what it looked like before Salah came on and Raheem’s late late show, so I’ll settle for it.

Really surprised with that average score – there are only half a dozen players with ownership of over 10% in the top scorers by round this GW

    • Jeez terrible week & red arrows for me ….. 37 after Bps & suns

  5. Should’ve gone with the gut and brought Rambo in but oh well… Should I finally pull the trigger for Silva -> Sterling? I keep delaying this move because I’m concerned with bloody rotation and it’s costing me!

    • I’m sure he’ll be rotated as soon as you bring him in so please be nice to those of us who have him and don’t laugh

I would if I was you though – he’s far better value than Silva even with a few missed GWs, and Pep seems to like him and is certainly getting the best out of him.

      • Yeah mate, probably the best strategy for City players is to just leave them as they are and hope that they score some points!

  6. Evening everyone,

Here’s my team with 2FTs and 0.1m in the bank. Can’t think what to do, should I…

    1. Aguero, Cork, Jones > Ayew, Hazard, Christensen (-4, 3-5-2 formation)
    2. Silva, Richarlison, Jones > Hazard, Kante, Kenny (-4, 3-4-3 formation)
    3. Just do Silva and Jones > Sterling and Christensen (2 FTs, 3-4-3 formation)
    4. Somerhing else?

    Cheers guys!

    • I’d go for option 1 mate. Very likely that Hazard will do damage to Newcastle and you get to keep Silva who will probably start against WHam

    • 3, closely followed by 1. Wouldn’t even be considering 2, which is basically a high scoring midfielder for Kante who is bench fodder in FPL terms, great player though he is.

    • 3 for me. Really don’t like option 2 and don’t mind option 1
