Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 14. A Tuesday night Live Match Chat… Woohoo! Everyone loves a midweek GW don’t they?! The points come thick and fast, no waiting around for the matches to start, it’s all or nothing and done in the blink of an eyelid, relatively. Tuesday has 4 games with Brighton hosting a resurgent Palace, Leicester looking to further disrupt Spurs’ season, an in-form Watford hoping to capitalise on Jose’s indecision as to whether to attack or stifle and it ends with West Brom and Newcastle staring blankly at each other from their own halves, waiting for the other to blink. And probably not even reacting when the other does.

Wednesday concludes our GW with another quick-fire succession of 6 games. Arsenal should see to Huddersfield comfortably, but then we say say that a lot of the Gunners… Bournemouth and Burnley could be anything from 0-0 to 1-0 either way. Exciting times. Chelsea will probably have far too much for Swansea and a heavy defeat could well see Mr Beleaguered on a park bench by Thursday morning. Moyesie will be looking to put one over on his old club as West Ham host Everton and Man City will be looking for a cricket score at home to the boring Saints before Stoke host Liverpool in the final game.

THE GAMES IN FULL

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW14 from all at FF247!

Morning all. How’d we make out yesterday? 26 from 6 with Capn Kane for me (and only 2 playing def). Could go for a goal and no bp’s from Morata, Haz blank and a big haul from Silva before he gets shipped out. :ok:

Just need to vent a bit, so bare with… One thing I wish they would change in FF is that, why can’t they wait until the GW is over before players prices change? BS! That is all!

Agreed. Window should shut at deadline and reopen again once the final ball has been kicked. Like MLS used to do before they decided to simply ruin their (already better) entire game!

      Hi G Spot,
Im not sure why this issue upsets so many people. There probably isn’t any verifiable data but I assume that lots of early transfers go well and many don’t.
At the end of the day, there is no perfect way to play and different people enjoy it in different ways.
I somewhat doubt that the odd unhelpful price change over the course of the season is what destroys anyone’s season.
      Just my humble opinion smile

      • I do wish that price changes were like MLS though. They basically reward you for having the player ahead of time, not transfers in. So say Morata goes for 12 points tonight, you automatically get .2, if he gets 2 points it stays the same, but if he gets zero or anything negative he will go down. Now the player had to have been on the pitch for 45 minutes or more for them to possibly change in price. At the end of the GW the average points for those who played 45 minutes or more in the 4 positions and bumps or drops are determined then. Think this is a better way to determine who gets a rise. The one that saw the big game coming, not the one who jumped on after the fact.

@ Leprechaun, Appreciate your opinion, but it just frustrates me to no end as this is about the third time (this year) I was eyeing a player and there value went up and now they are out of my price range (before the GW is even over). It may not affect my entire season but it affects my pre planning on what I would like to do, then I have to reconsider my plan of attack. So yeah, it does affect my season.

I understand where you are coming from but I kind of like it, As those price changes really force some managers to act quite quickly including myself, making early moves has helped me in the past when it comes towards the end of the season building up TV especially when fighting it out in my ML around GW34 plus if they make a move on a Saturday or Sunday night you pretty know what they have done etc.

Murray > Rodriguez worth it for next 2 GWs, considering WB has Palace and Swansea next?

This move would also fund Erik > Hazard.
