Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18.

Remember back when a midweek fixture was an exciting rarity? It is hardly an uncommon occurrence these days and one to which we shall be treated to quite a few more times before the season is up. There are in fact three of these in the next five GW’s and even one of those (DGW19) straddles a midweek.

As for this one it begins on Tuesday at 6pm as Sheffield and Newcaste unite to see who can score the least goals. Then at 8.15pm Burnley host half the games captain in the shape of Bruno. At the same time Wolves welcome Everton.

Wednesday begins at 6pm with the other halves captain (KdB) hosting Brighton. Spurs (now) welcome a reluctant Fulham at 8.15pm.

Arsenal and Palace see us out on Thursday at 8pm.

And don’t forget that once the above GW ends on Thursday evening the next one begins on Saturday and that one is a double so get your planning sorted early doors!

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 18 from all at FF247!

    Loud Atlas says:

    From OptaJoe (via BBC):

’25 – Harry Kane’s goal was his 25th headed goal in the Premier League – he’s just the third player to have scored 25 left footed goals, 25 right footed goals and 25 headed goals in the competition’s history, after Robbie Fowler and Andy Cole. Mixture.’

And what’s more: the goal came in the 25th minute!

Goa son, Dier assist please. And then, no more. Well… Maybe sub out Dier and then Fulham scores :):)smile

What are people with Leeds assets doing now that their double is cancelled? I’ll probably keep Bamford as Brighton at home is a decent game, and thinking about switching Dallas to Coufal.
When can we expect to hear if City vs Villa is on or not?

Looking forward to the new MGW concept (Megan Game Week) featuring Aston Villa with 6 matches against yet to be determined opposition, probably sometime in mid July if other clubs can be convinced to agree upon dates. smile

Oops automatic text function changed Mega to Megan. Not sure Harry would be too pleased! smile

I was wondering what you were on about, then worried I’d missed some critical reference somewhere down the line.

Sadly three is the most we’d ever see as I think teams have to have two days’ rest between games.

I know, I know, flog ’em like horses but I doubt we’d get much out of them after the second game (apart from the goalie maybe).

      Otieno says:

Mathematically GW19 was a possible quadruple. If a team was out of cup then they could have played 15-18-21-24

      • Kralin says:

That would have been so good, Otieno. It’s something all of us will feel slightly wistful about perhaps: a possible future just slightly out of our grasps. A door briefly open into another dimension. A GW beyond normal comprehension.

And my imagination failed me there, as it often does – I saw the GW as a normal 7 day week, not something breaking free from the constraints of normal time.

        A good point.
