Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18.

Remember back when a midweek fixture was an exciting rarity? It is hardly an uncommon occurrence these days and one to which we shall be treated to quite a few more times before the season is up. There are in fact three of these in the next five GW’s and even one of those (DGW19) straddles a midweek.

As for this one it begins on Tuesday at 6pm as Sheffield and Newcaste unite to see who can score the least goals. Then at 8.15pm Burnley host half the games captain in the shape of Bruno. At the same time Wolves welcome Everton.

Wednesday begins at 6pm with the other halves captain (KdB) hosting Brighton. Spurs (now) welcome a reluctant Fulham at 8.15pm.

Arsenal and Palace see us out on Thursday at 8pm.

And don’t forget that once the above GW ends on Thursday evening the next one begins on Saturday and that one is a double so get your planning sorted early doors!

The games in full…

So I was thinking before this week I would do Salah>KdB and Adams>Watkins. The chaos that was this week forced the FH chip to be spent. I ended up with 48. I’ll take that graciously given what this week looked like. Now on to next week. Not sure I trust the situation at Villa so now I am eyeing Adams>Antonio. Also still toying around with Salah>KdB as his fixtures look great. So my early ideas are like this.

    A. Adams>Antonio
    B. Salah>KdB
    C. Both above for -4
    D. Roll it

    What say ye?

Well my free hit chip accumulated 61 points this game week which I am pleased with.

Should see some green arrows once the game is updated.

Great effort. Nothing like a chip gainfully employed.

Given the relative misfiring of certain highly-owned players I’d imagine that soars high above whatever the average turns out to be.

Good to go? Will make a call on TC closer to the deadline

I had initially set myself up for a BB, but wondering whether I should just maybe do:

    DCL->Antonio, and was considering Salah->Kdb

    Thoughts please.

Move one seems fine to me – an easy move you don’t have to overthink.

See my ramblings just now on the KdB / Salah switch. In that I think they could end up with similarish scores so I don’t really see the point. But damn, entirely up to you and go for it if you fancy it.

Vardy’s a nice player to have up your sleeve, that’s good planning.

I’d prob sell Son and go DCL to whomever

        Kralin/TheDreamers,

So, doing a BB for GW19 would be a waste of time – agreed?

Would bringing in KdB for Salah not be better, with him having the easier fixtures coming up. I know Pep rotation is a concern (and with Sterling being benched in the last game, there is always that to think about). I know Kdb would have to score/assist twice to make up for the hit, but his games are maybe easier than Salah’s, but then again, Salah has scored more overall this season. Am I talking myself out of this,….lol)

        • Kralin says:

It’s entirely up to you. I wouldn’t BB, just keep your powder dry.

I’d like to offer soothing words about the Salah / KdB dilemma you have – a dilemma which I suspect is going to prey on your conscious and unconscious mind (in the latter’s instance perhaps visiting you as a nightmare where a player with blue and red in their kit runs towards with with a face that is in one instant bearded, the next unshaven) – but I can’t really add to anything I’ve already said. But I wouldn’t worry too much one way or the other, even as you wake screaming from the nightmare. Both are excellent captaincy choices this week.

        • TheDreamers says:

I prob Wudnt with 3 Southampton in one gw. I prob will with 3 Leeds and 1 Southampton.

For a dgw, I’d want Salah and Kdb.

    KP says:

Not sure what to do here. KDB looks like the stand out captaincy option this week but to get him I need to remove Son and Kane (for a -4) which I’m not too thrilled about. Any idea how I should approach this? 0.5 in the bank and 1 FT.

    Otieno says:

Ok moving on, questions for GW19. This is my team after bringing in Antonio.

    1. Pretty sure on this one TC KDB but open to comment

    2. Hit for Fuchs to Stones? (0.8 itb). Fuchs seems out of favour and looking at MC fixtures forward. Also I don’t want to plan a transfer for GW20. If there is an injury or cancellation, I’ll be driven into taking a hit in 247 cup week.

    3. Bench boost? All single game players but I don’t know if I’ll be in a position of having a full playing bench later weeks.

I’m in a mind to simply play what’s in front of you this week at the moment, all things considered. With that 1 and 2 both look good. Athough 2 and 3 do too as that’s a pretty good bench if you consider it as the singles and their respective fixtures.
