Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18.

Remember back when a midweek fixture was an exciting rarity? It is hardly an uncommon occurrence these days and one to which we shall be treated to quite a few more times before the season is up. There are in fact three of these in the next five GW’s and even one of those (DGW19) straddles a midweek.

As for this one it begins on Tuesday at 6pm as Sheffield and Newcaste unite to see who can score the least goals. Then at 8.15pm Burnley host half the games captain in the shape of Bruno. At the same time Wolves welcome Everton.

Wednesday begins at 6pm with the other halves captain (KdB) hosting Brighton. Spurs (now) welcome a reluctant Fulham at 8.15pm.

Arsenal and Palace see us out on Thursday at 8pm.

And don’t forget that once the above GW ends on Thursday evening the next one begins on Saturday and that one is a double so get your planning sorted early doors!

  1. Hello guys, currently have only 7 DGW players with 1 FT and 0.4m itb. Is it worth to do Kane, Son & Dier ->> Antonio, Salah & Chilwell for -8?

    • I wouldn’t get rid of Kane and Son. maybe Son to get in Salah somehow but not at the expense of Kane.

    • Antonio and Salah in for Martial and Son work at all?

      • Missed out by 0.2m unless I downgrade Dier to Coufal for a -8. Is that a good move?

        • Depends how much you want the other two, but they were only a suggestion out of the blue anyway.

        • How about just Dier to Coufal?

        • Not sure if it could pay-off since Martial is a DGW player. Thanks for the suggestion though. Could actually afford Cresswell if just doing the Dier move. smile

        • How about ESR, Kane and Martial out for Salah, Antonio and Brewster for -8 ?

  2. Any advice on my team set for this GW?
    I think Bamford is better then Lacca really.
    I am thinking about using my TC, not sure who yet, I mean Soucek is the obvious choice I think, it depends on what West Ham team turns up though.
    HELP!

    • Soucek?

      • yeah, they have Burnley and WBA at home, he’s in form scoring goals.

    • Decent looking side Terminator. Should pick up some points. That’s a tricky one Bamford and Lacazette both have good fixtures. I think I am inclined to agree with you and go for Bamford. I think Mo will be a better option to (triple) captain than Soucek.

    • Def do not TC Soucek. There’s honestly so many better options through the course of a season.

      • Yeah, but idk Salah against Man U though.

    Do I go:
    a) DCL + ElGhazi > Vardy + Soucek (for -4ph)
    b) DCL + Bamford + Dallas > Vardy + Antonio + Targett (for -8ph)
    c) DCL + Stephens + Taylor > Antonio + Soucek + Dias (for -8ph)

    Thoughts on my team for GW19? Do I bench bamford or play Zouma.

    KDB or salah as capo?

    • Very tasty side Mitro. I am jealous. I would bench Bamford and play Zouma. Captaincy is a tricky one. City have better fixtures but KDB looks a bit tired and will probably get less minutes than Mo. Liverpool, themselves, have looked off the pace lately. They should be motivated over the 2 matches of this GW though to get ‘their’ first place back.

      • Thank you horse. I might just flip a coin with regard to capo!

    • I’d play zouma. I Linda expect 6 points from bam against BHS, and from zouma against ful.

      The lei game is just bonus…

    • I like Bamford for this week but I suppose logically you should play the odds and pick Zouma.

    • Think I’d bench boost

  6. Think I’m gonna do a -4 kane + son out for kdb and Antonio. Unless you lot can talk me out of it. Tempted by a -8 even for lowton to cancelo.

    • I’d change cappo mate and wouldn’t do a -8

      • Welly plan is to take out son so captain will obviously change
