Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18.
Remember back when a midweek fixture was an exciting rarity? It is hardly an uncommon occurrence these days and one to which we shall be treated to quite a few more times before the season is up. There are in fact three of these in the next five GW’s and even one of those (DGW19) straddles a midweek.
As for this one it begins on Tuesday at 6pm as Sheffield and Newcaste unite to see who can score the least goals. Then at 8.15pm Burnley host half the games captain in the shape of Bruno. At the same time Wolves welcome Everton.
Wednesday begins at 6pm with the other halves captain (KdB) hosting Brighton. Spurs (now) welcome a reluctant Fulham at 8.15pm.
Arsenal and Palace see us out on Thursday at 8pm.
And don’t forget that once the above GW ends on Thursday evening the next one begins on Saturday and that one is a double so get your planning sorted early doors!

I still can’t make up my mind if it’s worth bringing in stones Antonio and struijk for Lindelof Adams and Lowton for a – 8. Struijk would be for the bench. I’m beginning to bore myself now with this. :laugh2: Also who’s the best captain, salah or kdb?

On paper and herd immunity community it looks like it will be Kevin.
On the other hand, despite his recent slump Salah could well bounce back with a bit more rest than KDB and Klopp’s less likely rotation.
I personally think Kane can surprise as all with the single game.
* Don’t forget the away master Bruno is still a contender even with 4 YC to his name.
I don’t think I have enough for a BB and I am not too keen on anyone for TC.

Adams to Antonio or Jesus to Vardy.
Or, gulp, Son to Salah and Jesus to Antonio.
Thinking of triple captaining KDB.
Nice thing about this GW is that not – as we normally do in DGW – playing the BB helps bring about a possible TC.

Pressed the BB button and can’t make up my mind whether to take a -4 hit and do raphinia to foden. Bad idea or stick ?
Wouldn’t personally, could both only play a single game so not worth it imo

Also …James or Justin given this gw and the ones to follow? Sold Justin only this week before his dgw announced so hate the thought of bringing back for more money….and Pereira back now means less competition than James??

Still thinking about a 4ph to bring in KdB for either Salah or Fernandes (the latter more appealing after hearing he is 1 card away from a ban).
As for captain… no concrete on Salah, but setting….lol

Maybe put the vice on Vardy but otherwise seems fine.
yeah I know Kralin, but after seeing the details about Fernandes, I switched player…lol.
I may well just leave as is and hide behind the sofa..lol
The hiding behind a sofa element is one of the freakishly enjoyable elements of the game – the relief that comes when a highly owned player you’ve risked not owning under-performs is almost as pleasurable a feeling as getting the captain right.
While I hope KdB performs for me, I hope he flops horribly for you.
knowing my luck, Fernandes will stupidly get booked against Pool and rule himself out of the Fulham game!!!

yes, for some strange reason, as soon as each deadline passes I always look at the team for the next gameweek straight away and see who i can bring in!!!!
