Some games may occur, don’t ask us which…

We’ve written and re-written this about four times now this week. Which, quite frankly, is about three times more than we wanted to. We think that the following is about to happen. But in all honesty if it doesn’t, or if it changes again, please feel free to make up your own narrative and pretend that’s what we bothered to write instead because there will be no 5th!

We won’t list the lot (a picture is worth a 1000 words etc) but in short we begin with Wolves vs West Brom at Saturday lunchtime, and then we have 4 more games later on that day, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday and we eventually conclude a truly long double game-week, over 7 days after it began, on the following Saturday evening at 8pm with Aston Villa v Newcastle. If Villa can be bothered to turn up. 15 or so games in total which means that 11 teams get to play twice. In theory.

    How you guys doing?

    • Bit early to say Bees, though I’m pleased you’re doing ok. The DGW hasn’t even reached the half way point yet.

        • I hope Jamie, seemingly having a dark night of the soul yesterday, is enjoying all this.

          I did find all the depression yesterday a tad hard to fathom, given the (D)GW had barely got off the ground.

          Thanks for the concern about my well being.

          Sunday was a decent fantasy football day with a goal from Kane and three bonus points, an assist from Son, two goals and clean sheet and three bonus points from Stones and a clean sheet from Ederson.

          Unfortunately captain Salah did his usual nothing.

          A respectable 58 points I think but we’ll done to those who have scored higher.

        • I’m relieved to hear all’s on track Jamie. Personally I tend to take stock (though obviously I keep an eye on things) once the GW is over. This one has until next Saturday to play out. There’s a long way to go. The average now won’t be the average then.

          DGW are notorious for leading to premature dejection or elation. But I like the second chance element to them – Salah let me down today as well but there is another game (though frankly I’d take an assist from Salah and consider that a triumph, given Liverpool’s form).

    • 67 after BP. No hits myself and 10 to go. So I am very happy

    • Also 71 but a couple more hits than you. I do still have all my chips to play to I’m hoping for more DGWs and a late season surge

    • I went a bit mad this week. 74-12! The last transfer was Stones though so probably up overal. Net 62 with plenty more games to go.

    • 78 -4 and 11 players left to play so extremely happy!

  2. Wow it’s tight at the top of the table. I can’t ever remember it being like this half way through a season

    • Pool really needed the win today, lots of football still to be played too

      • I was pretty confident they would – thought it would be 2-0 or so. But not to be.

        City’s to lose now I’d say and given their fixtures and the inconsistent sides around them; I’d be surprised if they hadn’t carved out a reasonable lead at the top pretty soon.

        • Ya they will steam roll team over the next few games. Play us in gw23. So hopefully we can do something their

    • After a short break Man U are back where they have to be.
      Pool can regroup, after all there are 29 more years until the next title :rofl:

    • It’s a proper title race this season for the first time in awhile. Knew it was going to be 0-0 today so not too fussed. Both teams had chances and really if it wasn’t for Allison being amazing, we should have lost.

      United parked the bus and Liverpool have proven over the last few games that they can’t score if teams defend solidly.

    • I had him in, but decided the upgrade to Dias was better and took Harvey Barnes to make the financials work. Another day in FPL LOL

        • Would be interesting to see but still fair play for having the balls to TC Stones.

        • LRL, most likely another weekly cash team from the middle east trying to win that 50 K $ price.
          We are fast approaching 8 million members because of them 😉

        • It is something I might look at playing next year. Having an “even week team” where I make loads of transfers e.g. in week 23 to get an ideal team for a weekly prize in 24. And similarly an odd week team. You can’t make a new team every week (unless they have a separate competition between themselves) because your team has to be live for two weeks before competing for a weekly prize. Also you can’t use a chi to win the week.

  5. Now, whoever have Stones, enjoy the hype.
    The ones who haven’t, don’t go mad. His next brace could be due in February 2021/22 season. Calm down and take a deep breath :whistle:
