We’ve written and re-written this about four times now this week. Which, quite frankly, is about three times more than we wanted to. We think that the following is about to happen. But in all honesty if it doesn’t, or if it changes again, please feel free to make up your own narrative and pretend that’s what we bothered to write instead because there will be no 5th!
We won’t list the lot (a picture is worth a 1000 words etc) but in short we begin with Wolves vs West Brom at Saturday lunchtime, and then we have 4 more games later on that day, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday and we eventually conclude a truly long double game-week, over 7 days after it began, on the following Saturday evening at 8pm with Aston Villa v Newcastle. If Villa can be bothered to turn up. 15 or so games in total which means that 11 teams get to play twice. In theory.

Worrying about GW29. My experience with GW18 and GW19 points out a real conflict: those with blank game weeks are/tend to be those with double game weeks, and there’s no way of stacking players for the BGW before the DGW, as most, myself included, will probably WC in GW25.
We do get 4 the four free transfers you mentioned in your discussion with Cookie between GW25 and GW29. You also suggested that one or two hits should probably get us set up. Does this assume we will not BB in GW26, as I do not see where we will be able to hide extra players for GW29, save amongst the substitutes?
Newcastle look very attacking. If Wilson gets anything over 2 points and I’ll be happy.

Let’s hope Konsa is OK as well.
Would Zouma, Soucek & Wilson to Struijk, Anguissa & Vardy be stretching things a bit too thinly? I’d do it over two GWs to save any hits. And it’d mean I end up playing Holding & Smith Rowe most weeks.
I would keep Zouma. After tomorrow he has two home games against Wolves and Burnley.
You think he’s safe? Lampard’s comments about needing to make a change due to poor performances has worried me a bit.
You have a point. We’ll find out tomorrow. If he doesn’t appear again I might have to get rid of him as well.
Zouma to Dias could be an option.
