Some games may occur, don’t ask us which…

We’ve written and re-written this about four times now this week. Which, quite frankly, is about three times more than we wanted to. We think that the following is about to happen. But in all honesty if it doesn’t, or if it changes again, please feel free to make up your own narrative and pretend that’s what we bothered to write instead because there will be no 5th!

We won’t list the lot (a picture is worth a 1000 words etc) but in short we begin with Wolves vs West Brom at Saturday lunchtime, and then we have 4 more games later on that day, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday and we eventually conclude a truly long double game-week, over 7 days after it began, on the following Saturday evening at 8pm with Aston Villa v Newcastle. If Villa can be bothered to turn up. 15 or so games in total which means that 11 teams get to play twice. In theory.

    • I really wanted to get Gundo instead of KDB but nooooo, had to follow the herd :no:

      • Is that your fault or theirs then?

      • You might have to go with Gundo next week. KDB went off injured, it seems.

        • Did he now? May solve a couple of structural issues for me if that’s true.

          KdB has made miraculous returns from seemingly bone-shattering knocks before, however.

        • Loud – did KdB really go off injured? Was looking to bring him in for Salah next gameweek.

        • Swap to Sterling for me probably

        • Hammerfan, for now it’s a suspected ankle injury.
          You know how it goes, we’ll find out in a couple of days after the scan how bad it is.

        • gonna wait to see what the latest on him will be on Monday/Tuesday before I decide.

    • One of those great ‘what ifs’ that will for ever haunt us.

  3. I really do hate the rules of football nowadays. There was nothing wrong with the handball rule, or offside, and we’ve ended up where we are. Send people off for diving. Make handball intentional again. And bin VAR forever.

  6. Anyone else having extreme weather conditions?! We’ve gone from flooding at 7pm to full on thick snow right now!

    • The flooding looks grim. Down in the sarf-east we seem to have got away with a dingy wet day, fairly thin rain, the sort that’d look like fine silver webbing if it were brighter. Bit windy though.

      We should talk about the weather more
