Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 19

Some games may occur, don’t ask us which…

We’ve written and re-written this about four times now this week. Which, quite frankly, is about three times more than we wanted to. We think that the following is about to happen. But in all honesty if it doesn’t, or if it changes again, please feel free to make up your own narrative and pretend that’s what we bothered to write instead because there will be no 5th!

We won’t list the lot (a picture is worth a 1000 words etc) but in short we begin with Wolves vs West Brom at Saturday lunchtime, and then we have 4 more games later on that day, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday and we eventually conclude a truly long double game-week, over 7 days after it began, on the following Saturday evening at 8pm with Aston Villa v Newcastle. If Villa can be bothered to turn up. 15 or so games in total which means that 11 teams get to play twice. In theory.

Here is the GW in all its glory;

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. Doing alright this week.
    Come on salah :biggun:

  2. Just got to 100points with Salah to go, better than average but Covid wrecked my BB- now move onto gw20 and save the transfer . With all the changes it seems better to have 2FTs’and plan now for GW25 WC

  3. If KDB is confirmed that he’ll be miss GW20, who will you replace him with,if you don’t want to bench?

  4. Need Salah to perform a madness to save my GW. A hattrick plus clean sheet for Robbo will be nice. smile

    • Yeah, I need a miracle from Salah and Robbo.

  5. KDB

    • Replace with Gundogan or Sterling?

      • Or Foden? smile

      • Gundogan based on current form

        • Yep, forgot about Gundo.
          Good shout :good:

        • Will he really keep this scoring up? I guess he’s probably on pens, but it kinda feels like Foden is the better cheap pick. And obviously Sterling if you’re feeling flush.

        • I must admit I’m not convinced he’s suddenly become a good scoring option. He’s never been prolific and this is a small sample

        • I am currently thinking of getting Gundogan. Those 3 fixtures are too tasty. May even decide on Sterling.

        • At that price might be worth a punt I’m thinking. Plus can get Son

      • Or son that’s prob what I will do

        • I fancy City’s fixtures over Spurs, and I fancy City to score more than Spurs in general!

        • Son is likely to be Salah’s replacement if he blanks again tonight 😉

        • City’s next three are a lot better than Spurs

        • Smash, that’s true but the Kane&Son duo seems to be unstoppable and they score against anyone.

        • I might go Son I’m undecided tbh. I could get Gundogan as well if I do that. Or I could just go Sterling as those City fixtures are about as good as it gets. Also a captain option next week

        • I think Bruno will be number one captain pick for the next round.
Home against Sheffield it’s hard to ignore.

        • Following week I’m talking about

        • Ah, OK. Sorry, misread.

      • So many in form options to consider…Maddison, Gundo, Foden, Son, Saka, just to name a few. As Banjo said, we can always go with Sterling and make it rain!

    • That ain’t good. No point benching for 3 rounds and then having him to face Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal in the following gameweeks.
Most likely the crowd will go for Sterling but if you want to save some dosh, Mahrez, Foden and even Bilva will have guaranteed starts during his absences.

      • I’m not sure the crowd will go to Sterling. More likely to go to Son/Kane or Salah because they see the total points and not the fixtures. I agree he need to go because the games are quick. Though might get more info later

        • Yep, it takes a couple of days. We should know more after the scan tomorrow. If it is a very minor injury and likely to be off for a week many will keep him I reckon.

    • Probably KDB to Gundo GW20.
Upgrade one forward to Kane GW21. Alternatively a cheap midfielder can be upgraded to Son for GW21.
Don’t want to waste a Man City slot for these fixtures.

    • Time to bring in Auba once again :biggun:

    • I put Gundogan in the other week he near enough plays every week I don’t know why he’s not the best player but Pep loves him same as Fernadinio as well.

    • @Hammerfan you were asking about this ^. Confirmed.

  6. Let’s see how the rest of the game week goes but my transfer shortlist prior to the KdB injury were Antonio, Maddison and Justin.
With the news, I suppose KDB to Salah is the easy move, funded by Wilson to Antonio (-4).

    • Wilson to Antonio I like although like mentioned in the post above you might want some attacking city cover as they have good fixtures coming

    • Watkins is a thought as well.
