Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm.

Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlikely as they entertain Manchester City. If you’re still hungover come 4pm you might as well switch off the TV as Brighton host Jose and his merry men.

Our game-week is brought to an end with the first Monday Night Football of the season and it has the potential to be a cracker as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace.

  1. Any advice people please would be great.

    • King to a 5m and Cairney to Pedro?

      • That’s not a bad shout mate. Was also looking at doing King to Ings and Luiz to Alonso but don’t know.
Also thinking of the suggestion smash gave earlier. King to 4.5 and Cairney to Mkhi.

        • I like smashes suggestion as some Arsenal cover would be good with the fixtures.

    • Luis to Alonso and lose king to a 5m forward

      • Yeah I kind of like that idea but I rarely spend so much on defense as I am atm.

  2. Boom, Trigger pulled!

    Peltier > Alonso
    Eriksen > Richarlison
    Aubameyang > Arnautovic
    Zambo Anguissa > Pedro
    Tomkins > Mendy

    Cost 16pts with £0.8m ITB

    • Wow 16 point hit and the GW isn’t even over haha. Good moves but anything can happen mate hope theres no injuries on ya

      • And Aguero rumoured to be on bench you going to take him out as well

        • Kun will score me the 16pts tomorrow.

It had to be done, Eriksen and Aubameyang have done zero and there are better (equal) players that are cheaper and are not newbies to the Premier League, I also took the opportunity of improving my DEF, I usually have always gone the cheapo DEF but it’s always been said that you need a good DEF and it’s early days yes, so Eriksen and Aubameyang should have been given longer, but how long should they be given.

    • Bonkers ! laugh

    • Wow. That’s one way to play. Good luck!

    • That’s not a sustainable approach. Or indeed a logical one. Depends what your aim is though I guess. What’s your aim?!

  3. #ThatMommentWhen
Your wife’s team outscores your team :whatever: !!

  4. What’s that page that shows if a players price is about to go up?

  5. 7 points from 5 players so far 😮 . ‘The best laid plans…’, and all that, but JEEZ. With rumours that Kun will be benched tomorrow, my week is looking wonderful  . I’m looking to get Richarlison and Mkhi in. I’ve got 2 FTs and 1m ITB.

  6. Jota and I are done with. Really keen to switch him for Mkhi, but need to raise 0.5 to get there. I know it’s a little sideways / points chasing, but is King to Wilson my best enabler to ditch Jota for Mkhi?

Feel free to tell me it’s stupid or throw me any other ideas!

    Thanks.

    • There’s this guy called Ings, right …

Seriously mate. How about Ben Davies to David Luiz?

I don’t like the Bournemouth jumparoo.

      • Hmmm, interesting GP. I hadn’t considered that. Chelsea’s fixtures are nice for a few weeks too.

My reasoning for liking the King move is he’s due to drop and Wilson’s due to rise. So for TV it kinda makes sense. I get your thoughts on hopping from one to another though.

    • I’d do king-Ings,Jota-mkhi. Should leave 0.5m in bank which I’d use to change Davies to Alonso.

      • Thanks Offaly! Those move make a lot of sense! However, if you were a Pompey fan and wouldn’t consider any of that lot in red and white, what would you suggest 😉

        • I’m not a huge fan of hopping from one to the other mate but I got rid of king myself tonight. Done Cairney to Mkhi and King to Kamara which could backfire to.

        • Become a Soton fan then. :hippo:

        • Kamara is a punt! Do you plan on playing him?

Elle, it’d certainly simplify FPL decisions!

        • Don’t really plan on playing Kamara mate. Was using 3-4-3 but switched to 3-5-2 and leaving Kamara on bench.
