Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm.
Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlikely as they entertain Manchester City. If you’re still hungover come 4pm you might as well switch off the TV as Brighton host Jose and his merry men.
Our game-week is brought to an end with the first Monday Night Football of the season and it has the potential to be a cracker as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace.

Hey guys,
Poor week for me until now 23pts with 5 to go and Aguero (c)
Think I’ll have to transfer out Jota tonight due to price rises. I’m open to a hit with 2FTs.
Any suggestions?
Pedro and maybe a sideways move for Wilson for Jota & King. I am thinking of that move myself
I’m considering Pedro ,Chris. I’m not a fan of sideway moves and I’ve seen Wilson burn people in the past. Pedro looks good but what happens when Hazard comes back, will he retain his place?
You could just do an ‘I’m under no illusions’ move of King to one of the Southampton forwards to release the wonga for Mkhi. Wolves’ fixtures are dire, though they may fancy West Ham.
I have King and am fancifully thinking of giving him another week. I need to do some legwork though to see how poor (or not) Everton’s defence is. But I can see Bournemouth creating a chance or two.
I’m considering giving King another game too but I don’t think he was very involved in the game?I might be wrong, I’ll have to check out the highlights.
I’m considering Ings too.
Cheers for your insight mate
I’m under the impression Wilson is having a lot more attempts on goal.
Pedro is playing well so I believe Willian will be benched for Hazard
Yeah I have that impression too about lack of potency in attack for King
Hi Kunal
That’s not a bad score in comparison to me and a few others I’ve seen!
What about Jota to Maddison and save a transfer to deal with any emergencies later in the week?
Hi GP,
My mini league people are doing better than me as of now this gw. Maddison is a good shout and probably makes sense to save a transfer for now.
Mini leagues last the season mate. Don’t panic.
What about Jota to Mkhi,King to Ings and Cairney to Fraser for a -4?
Don’t push a -4.
Cheers GP
Not happy with Jota & King. I am thinking of Mkhi & Wilson. Who else I should be looking at?
Rest of my team is :
Ederson Fabianski
Robertson Coleman PVA Daniels Peltier
Salah Mahrez Jota Richarlison Cairney
Aguero King Zaha.
I am broke lol
You could think about swapping Fan for a 4m goalkeeper if you want to improve cashflow. Then the Mkhi move in time for Arsenal’s return to winning ways/
King could be given a final game next week, a home fixture in what could be a nice open game.
I won’t rule out keeping King but he could go down tonight
Yes.
However I tend not to make transfers until later in the week (if at all) so am fairly chilled about the market fluctuations. I look at http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk/ for the price rises and falls. I’ve no idea if the algorithm is right yet but King seems safe for now, tonight. But I appreciate he is very vulnerable this week.
King to Ings and Jota to Mkhitaryan?
I am not too confident of Ings but I will consider that move
Downgrade Fab to a 4m and Jota to Mkhi or downgrade King to Ings/Jiminez
site team what are your thoughts with 2 FT. how about eriksen to b.silva and cairney to mkhi?
I thought you were following us, not the other way around
Those sound like decent moves to me. Just make sure Silva makes it through the GW and looks nailed on. No quick hook if the team is not playing well, you don’t want Pep losing confidence in him before you bring him in.
So I told myself I’d be more sensible this year. No early transfers. No unnecessary hits.
Not even out of GW2 and I’ve just used 2 FT’s and taken a hit before this weeks games have even been played.
Top stuff mate
Who did you get in / lose banjo?
Love you Banjoman!
Davies, Jota & King to Alonso, Mkhi & Jimenez.
I’ve a feeling I’ll regret it when I’m sober tomorrow. Especially when my City trio pick up injuries.
i like those moves
Jimenez is the punt. I’ve never even seen the guy play! Feels good to have Alonso & Mkhi for the upcoming fixtures though.
Although I’ve just watched match of the day and seen Davies could’ve had a few assists!
im watching / on here a crappy romantic comedy film with herself
I’m on the JD watching the boxing. No moves till after Mondays game for me.Hic.
I saw the Fury fight. The post fight interview was the best thing about it.
Don’t look at price changes. That’s what caused me to go crazy tonight.
hey Brooky – Did a whiskey tour during the week in Dublin. Sampled a few including JD. JD was my least favourite of the three – Johnnie Walker, Jameson and JD
Its an acquired taste Dreamers ! 😉 About all i drink at home these days !
Banjo yeah the Fury fight was very one sided but whatever you say about him he”s got the gift of the gab !!Looking forward to the Wilder fight !
I’m on prosecco and three of my guys are dropping tonight.
Can’t promise I won’t have buyers regret tomorrow as well Banj!
I swear these price changes happen a lot quicker these days… why can’t everyone wait until the end of next week to make their moves?! W#%kers.
:straight:
As I’m sure a lot are on the same path:
Pickford/Foster
Bailly/Mendy/Robertson/Peltier/Wan
B. Silva/ Salah/ Richarlison/ Jota / Stephens
Aguero/ Firmino / King
A: Jota & King to Mkhi and Wilson
B: Jota & King to Mkhi and Ings with 0.5 itb to upgrade a defender or Stephens later.
If Ings and Wilson are going to be close on points then Ings is obviously the better option. However, I have a feeling that Wilson will outscore Ings by a lot.
Bxe2 25. bxa6 Qd3!! 26. Kf2um I agree that Bournemouth strikers will do better than Ings, Z.In the unlikely event you have .5 in the bank, can you not just remove Jota from the board, for Mkhi?
̶I̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶K̶r̶a̶m̶n̶i̶k̶’̶s̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶?̶ ̶T̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶Q̶d̶3̶!̶!̶ ̶M̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶u̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶d̶o̶e̶s̶ ̶h̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶a̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶c̶h̶e̶s̶s̶!̶ ̶ ̶(̶I̶ ̶h̶o̶p̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶o̶d̶e̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶)
Oh, I would love to have .5 in the bank. The straight swap would solve GW4’s puzzle but that would ruin the fun.
The resilience towards side moves is inexplicable to me. Mkhi and Wilson it is.
Wilson’s the man in form.
I’ve gone slightly supine this season, Z. I’m only making transfers if it’s really necessary. I’m giving players three match runs, if possible. So King’ll get another game.
I have the great Hughes of Watford and an extravagant 3.5 in the bank. So will be bringing Mkhi in for him to beef up the midfield providing there are no fallen tomorrow or Monday. Maybe Watford’s manager will read these words and use them to not only inspire Hughes, but the entre team.
Kramnik yes.
I dont agree that Wilson will outscore Ings.
I don’t think Wilson will outscore King to be honest.
Personally I may well keep King for what may be his swansong versus Everton. Then will have a ponder.
My hurried analysis of Ings versus Wilson was based on their (next 5 or 6) respective fixtures. I would argue, not too strongly but with some conviction, that Southampton’s are more difficult. What are your thoughts – even stevens?
I very nearly did option A, then I realized something similar to option B would mean I could get Alonso too, so I went for that.
Depends on how you plan to use the 0.5, but I do not think there’s a lot between the strikers at that price.
Which combination do people like more based on game time and fixtures?
Davies (Spurs), Pereyra (Watford), Zaha
Alonso, Mkhitaryan, Ings
Second one
second option seems better to me
Huh ?
Ahhh yes second option..
Alonso, miki and Ings
Thanks guys! Do people think Ings will be first choice going forward?
He’s better from what they have
