If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…
Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.
3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.
The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.
Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!
We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.

Is Kane on the pitch?
He may be the one that needs to make way for KDB
Can’t sell Kane before he faces Newcastle at home. They just conceded three to Norwich!
I’m considering offloading PEA myself. Liverpool and Spurs in the next two.
I think Kane is essential for GW3, but I also think KDB is essential, and Pukki. And of course Sterling. Probably also Salah. Can anyone lend me £10m?
Fraser was a big disappointment in the first two games…

Yeah even though Pukkis fixtures aren’t the best.. He seems to be a must. Sighs.
I think he is a potential “no” given those fixtures Raz.
He’s already scored against Liverpool at Anfield; playing Chelsea / Man City / anybody at home should still allow him some chances. I’m usually a fan of prioritising fixtures, by the way, but it’s crucial to hop onto the hot properties early on.
I’ve got a dilemma. Pukki’s unexpected price rise (although it shouldn’t really factor into FPL thinking) means that I’ll effectively miss out on a 0.5 price bracket if I buy him instead of, say, Barnes.
Barnes has decent fixtures from GW5
Wilson to Pukki, not sure about Perez to Martial.

Any other choices joanne? Who else have you up front? Wilson does have two returns in two gws.

Yep, thinking of Wilson/Fraser to KDB/6.0m forward, just no 6.0m forward I like…
What is appealing in KDB is that he seems to be very determined out there, good pressing, doing a lot of work, I think because he had a rather disappointing season last season he might be determined to do well this season, he has all the abilities to do that, think I wanna get him in…

Similar situation- I’m thinking Wilson/Fraser to Kane/4.5 mid. But who would be the 4.5 mid?

For GW3 yes. Long term, No.
I’m not doing transfers based on just one gameweek, that would be bonkers as you only have 1FT a week!
