Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2. After the excitement of GW1 and a fresh squad to play with we move onwards into the weekly slog and trying to find the right balance between keeping what you have and adding in fresh faces / the latest bandwagon without taking too many unnecessary hits along the way. Let us all know what you did and whether it was worth it on our weekly Live Match Chat forum. As for the games themselves Swansea host Man United to begin our week at lunchtime on Saturday. This is followed by five 3pm games and then Stoke host Arsenal in the late one. Pulis will be sat at home rubbing his thighs in anticipation.

Sunday begins wit a clash of the promoted teams as Huddersfield host Newcastle befoe a couple of the more established teams meet at 4pm as Spurs host Chelsea.

We then have our first Monday evening game of the season as Man City face Everton.

  1. Have they changed the bp’s this season ? Mane scored the only goal,a match winning goal and not even down for 1 bp ???

    • 1-0 score lines have always thrown up some random bonus scores ain’t they

      • Where do you guys get the info? The official site has been down since Bailly scored. Or is it me?

        • Official site back up for a while now.

        • This FPL site has got problems still as they haven’t added in the Arsenal players scores yet!!

  3. I’m getting rid of JWP. Any good 5.5 or below recommendation?
    Albrighton, Mooy, Doucoure, Atsu?

    • Monitor Mooy and Atsu tomorrow. I brought Mooy in myself for the Zaha injury so I’m hoping for great things.

    • I was going to suggest you to monitor Richarlison at 6£, if you can nick that 0.5, but it seems obvious now that Jesé is better at that price range so him. Fixtures not great but he’s always had goals in him and has just scored against Arsenal!

    • I’m gonna hold for 1 more week.Will have more information after international break plus 2 Ft’s.

    • Yup Jese looks good. Didn’t watch Watford game but the new guy is on the scoresheet

      • Considering 1 myself. Do you think no Chelsea is a bad thing?

        • Maybe not, guess pogba sounds better then William, Chelsea or no chelsea

        • +1, just forget coverage for a moment, this game’s about individual players.

    • I would probably go for 2. Not sure why JWP wasn’t starting. I’m getting rid of him

  5. Looks like Kane, Rodriguez and Francis are all going to drop tonight, with Salah now also being shipped out rapidly.

    Liverpool have Arsenal (H) and Man City (A) next: would Salah —–> Pogba tonight be silly? I’m tempted.

    • Ffs I have bloody Francis

    • I wouldn’t sell Salah. Liverpool always perform better against the bigger teams and could end up scoring bucketloads in those two games.

      • That’s true. Not having Pogba has become a concern but early moves can easily backfire.

        Salah, other than selling KDB, seems like my only realistic way to get him in.

        • What’s the rest of your team James? I’m thinking of taking a hit to do it.

        • Here it is, mate, an early -4 for Tadic —–> Pogba with Rodriguez —–> 4.5m could work?

          I’d be left quite thin — relying on Carroll — and Rodriguez still has good fixtures…

        • How would you feel about a -8 and selling Francis, Tadic and Bertrand to a 4.0, Cedric and Pogba? Would that even work?

        • Thanks for helping out! That’d leave my bank 0.5m short. Cedric would have to be Zanka or someone.

          I’ve only taken one -8 in my entire FPL career! Think they should be limited to emergencies. It’d have been good to deal with Francis too, though, for sure.

          Really not sure how to tackle this. I fear that not acting tonight could make it even worse…

        • Really? Damn it! I thought that would have been enough. Yeah I’m not sure if Pogba is 100% worth a hit or if just going with Lukaku would be fine.

        • Aha, no worries, this might sound crazy… but I’m thinking of ignoring Pogba / Rodriguez and just moving out useless Francis tonight? I could even grab Mbemba to bank that 0.5m.

          It’s frustrating, really, as I could’ve started with a 4.0m defender. What d’you think?

        • I’m considering ignoring Pogba too actually. You may be better off trying to raise funds and selling Francis.
