Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20
Two days without any football?! It almost feels like we are stuck in some sort of Christmas version of Groundhog Day at the moment. If you missed it then worry not as between GW20 beginning and GW23 ending we now have just 14 days with games on 11 of those and no more than a day to separate any given Gameweek. That’s the theory anyway, whether Covid (or Aston Vila) say otherwise is a different matter.
GW20 itself begins on Tuesday with a 6pm double header as Palace welcome West Ham for a good old fashioned London derby and at the same time Steve Bruce will probably continue to lose his marbles at the hands of the slightly more wily Marcelo Bielsa. Arsenal’s (latest) renaissance will be severely tested by the Saints at 8.15pm, whilst at the same time Big Sam will be looking forward to seeing if Man City can do it on a cold Tuesday night at … they will!
Wednesday begins at 6pm with a duet of mid-table clashes which will be tightly contested but ultimately mean nothing as Burnley host Villa and Wolves go to Chelsea. 7.30pm sees a relegation 6-pointer between Brighton and Fulham.
The title race continues at 8.15pm as the outsiders Everton & Leicester clash, before Manchester United easily see off Sheffield United.
GW20 concludes in some fashion, as Spurs face a true test of their title credentials against a recently inadequate Liverpool.
The games in full…

Afternoon all,
Could use some help with transfers for this week, will wait till after the game today but just been tinkering.
Thoughts on Vardy >> Lacazette and Dallas >> Cancelo?
Want to get Kane but feel like having that many premiums would unbalance my team, don’t see a clear path to bring him in. Was also considering Vardy >> a cheaper striker like Lacazette, DCL, or Antonio and Soucek >> Grealish, but don’t want to sell Soucek after his 15 points this GW.
I think doing Vardy to Lacazette, Ings, DCL or Antonio is the straightforward play here.
Watkins as well could be considered.
What GP said DCL or Antonio for next few fixtures. Not worth a hit
Thank you both, you don’t think a second City defender (with attacking potential) is worth a hit? I would be playing him over Coufal and Lewis who are both unlikely to keep a CS so there’s a very high chance it’ll pay itself back
Who to replace Wilson with. Don’t want Antonio straight forward as I have Soucek…Unless I do Soucek to Saka and Wilson to Antonio…. Have Tierney or DDG to spare for relief cash as I have 0 itb….Any suggestions…
Watkins maybe.
Watkins or Antonio would be my shortlist of two I think.
Wow my cup match is close. Ahead 57-56. He has kane and son left I have robbo and Salah
Was in a similar position last week where my cup opponent was leading me by 2 points and had Laca and Saka left to play whereas I had Saka and Tierney. Arsenal ended up drawing the match with a clean sheet and I managed to narrowly defeat my opponent by 2 points.
On a separate note, my cup opponent this week is someone who hasn’t made changes since GW 15 and yet has managed to get through all these rounds.
Makes me wonder till what point ghost teams realistically make it in the cup competitions.
Hey guys. United’s loss yesterday was a dampener but I have plenty of company to wallow in my sorrows for that.
Looking for a huge Spurs score this week since I have no Salah and the tension is killing me. Any idea what the bookies predict for the Spurs Liverpool match ?
2/1 Tottenham
13/5 draw
6/5 Liverpool
on the two places I checked so Liverpool are still favourites.
I dont have Salah but still hope he scores loads
To score:
Salah 6/4 (1.5)
Kane 21/13 (1.61)
Mane 2/1 (2.0)
Son 6/5 (2.2)
Ok guys in need of some serious help here. 1ft 0itb. Having a poor season a dcim determined to improve. Is it ok to take a couple of hits. Thinking bringing in the like of gundo and Antonio. Also tempted to sell Salah as my team value is so poor would give me a chance to spread the money
I’d ship Jesus and Rodrigo. Just a bit of planning and hits can be avoided. Team isn’t that bad
JWP and Rodrigo to Gundogan and Antonio maybe and hope Jesus gets a start
Guys any ideas here please.
Brewster to DCL? He’s back and he’s up against Newcastle. Just an idea!
Thanks bud, not a bad shout.
