Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20
Two days without any football?! It almost feels like we are stuck in some sort of Christmas version of Groundhog Day at the moment. If you missed it then worry not as between GW20 beginning and GW23 ending we now have just 14 days with games on 11 of those and no more than a day to separate any given Gameweek. That’s the theory anyway, whether Covid (or Aston Vila) say otherwise is a different matter.
GW20 itself begins on Tuesday with a 6pm double header as Palace welcome West Ham for a good old fashioned London derby and at the same time Steve Bruce will probably continue to lose his marbles at the hands of the slightly more wily Marcelo Bielsa. Arsenal’s (latest) renaissance will be severely tested by the Saints at 8.15pm, whilst at the same time Big Sam will be looking forward to seeing if Man City can do it on a cold Tuesday night at … they will!
Wednesday begins at 6pm with a duet of mid-table clashes which will be tightly contested but ultimately mean nothing as Burnley host Villa and Wolves go to Chelsea. 7.30pm sees a relegation 6-pointer between Brighton and Fulham.
The title race continues at 8.15pm as the outsiders Everton & Leicester clash, before Manchester United easily see off Sheffield United.
GW20 concludes in some fashion, as Spurs face a true test of their title credentials against a recently inadequate Liverpool.

Another frustrating and shocking game week for me.
Soucek first on my bench with 15 points.
Shaw is a non starter.
Man Utd need a goal to salvage a point.
Shaw subbed on in 84th minute with attacking players of Mata and James left on the bench.
A decision that costs me 14 points.
What do actual managers see in a game that I don’t see.

Didnt see the game. Seems an odd transfer if for Telles. Shaw been one of their best players of late I guess but not if you are in the 84th minute and behind
Bigger fish than FPL Jamie.

Sartre apparently said that ‘hell is other people’ GP! To a degree in a game like FPL, where ones success is dependant on that (or lack thereof) of other players, this is true!

Now, maybe consider playing Soucek over no Bam. Tonight’s game should give you a better idea based on how LIV play.
Probably sensible to bank and was my initial thought, however I would like to get to a 3-4-3 without triple WH! How about Soucek and Lookman to Gundogan and Smith Rowe (-4)? Or something else?

What are the opinions on soucek. I know seems a strange question after a 15 pointer. Thinking to sell for son or keep him and do bamford to kane. Slightly prefer kane but then the issue I have with keeping soucek is that not sure if he is good enough to be starting every week but maybe costs a bit much to have on the bench every week?
I think triple WH seems heavy, which is where I’m also at. To be fair Soucek is not a bad option it’s just if you don’t want to play him, there could be better options. Wait for tonight’s game to consider Son or Kane.
You need to first of all decide if you want to play him (Soucek) every week. I know you mentioned that but only you can tell us that. If so, then you play him and go for Kane IMO.
I have Soucek and I’m happy to take the rough with the smooth right now. He plays in my 3-4-3 formation at least or the next 4 or 5. He’s a threat against anyone.

Also I don’t think 5.2 is too expensive as a 1st sub. This season so far has supported having a good first sub (and a playing 2nd sub).
