Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22. Possibly too much FPL followed quickly by not enough, it’s feast or famine season is Christmas and early January. After a small break to recharge our batteries we are back this weekend to either try and extend on a successful festive period of points, or repair the damage! Whichever one it is we have a weekend of fun ahead beginning with a bumper Saturday program of seven games…

West Ham and Arsenal kick us off at lunchtime with both sets of fans probably wondering which version of their respective Jekyll and Hyde teams will show up. The five 3pm games are a mis-mash of mid-table much of a muchness. With the exception of Liverpool, who will probably steamroller Brighton. Talking of Jekyll and Hyde, Hazard gets a go at one of his favourite fixtures in the evening game as Chelsea host Newcastle. Depending on which version of Chelsea show up, probably one without a real striker….

Talking of Jekyll and Hyde… Everton and Bournemouth get Sunday under way in the early one, before the real action begins later with the much anticipated clash between Poch-present and Poch-future… perhaps. Let’s see what Ole has to say about that though.

Man City then host Wolves on Monday to see the game-week out.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 22 from all at FF247!

  1. I am selling one of my Chelsea defenders for TAA this week.

I have both Alonso and Luiz, but unsure who to keep. Alonso not done much of late and would bring more money for attacking players, but can contribute. Luiz I had initially planned on selling but has done a lot recently!

So, who would you KEEP – Alonso or Luiz?

    Cheers

  2. Goodbye Hazard, hello Kun. This transfer will feel very good.

    Another failed cappo choice.

    • Same banjo. Looking at Anderson maybe in midfield. He is due to fall tonight. Arna maybe going might be a negative to that though. Who you looking at ?

      • Fair straightforward for me. Switch back to 3-4-3 and ditch Haz & Kamara for Kun & bench fodder. Got 2 FTs too.

    • See how it looks in a couple of weeks when Haz has Bournemouth….. 😉

    • Kun is risky, but yeah might be better…. If you already have Salah and Kane then +1

    • Haz did better than Auba. Leaky Arsenal next followed by Bournemouth and Huddersfield. Will see how Aguero does

  3. Same. Hazard is gone. Salah in for me.

    • Free or -4?

      • -4 but a 3 player move im m looking at haz, son and one of FAnderson and Martial out for Salah, Sané and 1.6 mil in the bank to maybe do something with Ings next week

  4. Obi-Wan on for 3 bonus after conceding 2. Must have had a stormer

    • No kidding! It helped that there was an own goal and that the other two goal scorers were a sub and the defender that contributed the own goal

    • How come?

    • I’m a bit surprised but, in all fairness, yes he did play very well. But not quite well enough to stop the Golden Boys doing the double over his team smile smile smile

  5. Would you do Haz –> Salah for a hit? No doubt Haz will score a brace if I sell but that doesn’t help me as if I keep he’ll just blank… Can’t win smile

    • you sell him and chelsea beats arsenal 3-0 with a hazard brace 😉

      • I know but as I said I can’t get those points anyway cause if I don’t sell he’ll blank and Salah brace 😀

    • I’d want Salah so probably

      • If it was for free I wouldn’t hesitate but for a hit…. It’s not like Arsenal defense is solid smile

        • What’s the moves?. I would not be worried by the hit as Salah is on fire

        • Don’t know yet, just had an initial thought… With Bissaka getting 3 bonus even when conceding a shift to a 4-4-2 could be on the cards, downgrading Deulofeu to a fodder and Haz to Salah…

        • How many times have u seen that Zed? I havent

    • That’s a really tough one, but I probably wouldn’t do it. Best case scenario is that he continues to bang them in and you recover your 4 points and keep up with everyone else. Worst case, he cools off and his price plummets bc he’s the highest owned player and also the most expensive so it’s easier to drop off than it is to hop on the bandwagon. In that second scenario, if you’re not an owner, you’ll make up ground and you can then choose to get him in later after his price has dropped.

      • Liverpool’s form and fixtures vs Chelsea just look so good until end of season. Salah is also top in points and seems to be a more critical piece as long as you can afford

        • And a safe captain option, if I had Salah and capped him instead of Haz for the last two GWs I would have dozens of more points now….

        • +12 😉

      • Even if Salah has a couple of low points games it is unlike will have massive selling since we all know he will just come back with more.

        • You say that, but all it takes is for one player that’s cheaper than him to have a big week, then a lot of people will be off the bandwagon

        • And you’ll also need to factor in the number of points that you’re sacrificing by downgrading at other positions in order to free up the funds.

    • Given Salah’s returns of late I believe a -4 is justifiable.

  6. Evening all, bittersweet tonight with Newcastle/ fantasy , though it was expected we would lose to Chelsea, at least it wasn’t annihilation I guess. On 58 with Kane, Pogba, Richie and Wilson to go so pretty chuffed and looking like a green arrow for once! Have to decide if I’m keeping Haz now, Monday night might decide that for me! How’s everyone else faring?

    • Poor Rosco – quelle surprise!

42 with Kane/Pogba/Rich/Doherty/Jimenze and Shaw to go.
Whereas there are a good few to go, I’m not expecting big points and some play each other.

      • Still 6 players though so plenty chances for a good score!

    • 49 with 5 left for me

    • 47 from 6 so far

    • Assuming bonuses stay as they are, 55 with Richarlison, Pogba and Aguero left to play. Huge improvement, after it was looking seriously grim at half-time.

      • -4, I should admit. For King >> Aguero. I had 5m burning a hole in my pocket. We’ll see how that works out.

    • All great scores with some good options still to come!

    • 46 (-4) with Pogba, Richarlison, Digne, Rashford, Martial and Kane to go. Happy with that I think

    • 35 from 6 and a red arrow back to 330k. Would have been 45 if Hennessey hadn’t come on and I’d captained Salah ahead of flippin’ Hazard. Hoping I get returns from the remaining five otherwise my revival is very much on pause sad
