Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22. Possibly too much FPL followed quickly by not enough, it’s feast or famine season is Christmas and early January. After a small break to recharge our batteries we are back this weekend to either try and extend on a successful festive period of points, or repair the damage! Whichever one it is we have a weekend of fun ahead beginning with a bumper Saturday program of seven games…

West Ham and Arsenal kick us off at lunchtime with both sets of fans probably wondering which version of their respective Jekyll and Hyde teams will show up. The five 3pm games are a mis-mash of mid-table much of a muchness. With the exception of Liverpool, who will probably steamroller Brighton. Talking of Jekyll and Hyde, Hazard gets a go at one of his favourite fixtures in the evening game as Chelsea host Newcastle. Depending on which version of Chelsea show up, probably one without a real striker….

Talking of Jekyll and Hyde… Everton and Bournemouth get Sunday under way in the early one, before the real action begins later with the much anticipated clash between Poch-present and Poch-future… perhaps. Let’s see what Ole has to say about that though.

Man City then host Wolves on Monday to see the game-week out.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 22 from all at FF247!

46 points. Right keeper, wrong captain.

Fairly content. Digne, Richarlison & Pogba to come.

      Any advice, other than wait?

TAA, Jimenez, Rashford all firmly on my watchlist.

I had (and played) the same ‘keeper combo. Watching the Liverpool highlights back now, I can see that Button got a decent glove to Salah’s penalty, which just emphasises the fine margins in this game.

Salah would’ve gone from 11 points (22 for many) to 1 point (-2 for missing the penalty and -8 for no goal or bonus points) whilst Button would’ve probably made Etheridge’s returns look modest!

I see that you’ve still got Kane to come too. I’ll happily ignore the Spurs lot, though, if you wish 😉 it’s a strong squad. Which of those targets do you want most? I’m not sold on Trippier in terms of game-time security but perhaps, with those fixtures, he’s worth the risk.

      • Gavy says:

Salah hot it like a rocket.. 2 strong hands would do well to keep it out

      • EBC says:

My initial plan was TAA in for upcoming GW, then Jimenez in for Deeney the following week.

However, TAA seems to have a knock. Deeney might be getting banned. Rashford who I want but didn’t pick due to gametime worries has been constantly talked up by OGS.

Fair to say my plans are up in the air. Hazard out could fund Rashford in this GW.

Do we know when we’re likely to get info on the Carabao final rearranged games?

And yes – how could I forget Sir Harry of house Kane!?

This is so annoying! Wasn’t Son supposed to leave AFTER United game?! But he’s red flagged now and my bench is crap

    Mitro says:

    Morning

How did everyone on get on yesterday? Currently on 54 with son, pogba and Wilson to go!

Who do you think is the ideal replacement for Son?

      Smash says:

I’m on 46 (-4). With Digne, Richarlison, Pogba, Rashford, Martial and Kane to go. Hoping for a goal fest at Wembley.

As for the team I see two routes either Sane in for Son or spreading the cash a bit by upgrading Ings at same time

      • Mitro says:

        Morning smash,

The original plan was to bring in richarlison for Son this would leave 2.9 to upgrade Ings but I think I do need city cover ASAP!

        • Smash says:

Morning. Richarlison and Rashford was what I was thinking. Yeah I’m not sure on City cover. Will they score the most goals yes!! But who’s going to play and the goals will be spread out. Aguero has Jesus who is showing form again unlike previously this season. Gundogan has been playing well, DDilva and KDB speak for themselves. Mendy is due back soon which affects Sane. Sterling prob the safest but has a massive price. You have Mahrez there as well. BSilva has been really impressive all season. Just so many options

        • saint_toby says:

Good points smash, the decision for many is keep Hazard or gamble on mins from a city midfield. Sterling seems the only safeish bet

        • Smash says:

Yep and as for Hazard 10 goals, 10 assists in 18 starts is not exactly bad. He’s the second highest scorer in the game and he’s missed a few games this season

    • 64.2
      EBC says:

      Richarlison & Jimenez/Rashford for Son & Ings.

      Gavy says:

I am happy in terms of EPL on a Sunday for once. 48 with 5 left Digne richarlison,Rashford, Wilson and kane. Hopefully theirs 25+ points between them.

    igy4 says:

I’m on 49 points with 5 still to play! Similar to Mitro above, I am planning my Son transfer for next week. Initially I was looking at Hazard with a couple of other moves but his form has swayed that view. Would it be wise to consider Patricio to Button to get the extra funds for Son to Eriksen?

    SherLock says:

As per above comments, I should keep Hazard right?
    I’ve 2FT and 0.1 cash.
For next match, what should I do?
    Pls advise.

    Thanks.
