Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23. It’s a compact GW, beginning on Saturday and finishing on Sunday, for once, but that’s also for a good reason as we come back again on Tuesday for a midweek feast. Which is our main message this week; snooze or lose, basically.

Saturday sees the majority of games, with 8 in total. Watford and Spurs get us going in the early one, Newcastle and Chelsea see us out later on, with six others at 3pm, we won’t bore you with the actual details; they are all in the pic below.

The remaining two games are on Sunday with Burnley hosting Leicester before Man Utd haul their carcass to Anfield to try and recall what a proper football team looks like.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 23 from all at FF247!

  1. worst week ever

  2. I just have enough money to get salah for Alli tonight. Should I go for it. I don’t want to have to take another hit next week.

    • Either way risky. Using the ft now, while someone can get injured. Or wait miss price rise and you have to take a hit. Calculated risk

    • Do it Man U man

    • What’s the rest of your lot looking like man u man? Money ITB and free transfers available.

    • Salah not looking likely to rise tonight can wait till tomorrow

    • Sorry guys I was putting on the fire and eating my dinner. Here’s my lot:

      • Man u man

I hope you’re nice and warm and full!

I wouldn’t force that move through tonight. Worst case scenario you do KDB to Salah for one week if you feel you absolutely need him.

      • One of the problems if he gets injured tomorrow is that there isn’t an easy Liverpool swap to make. Eg if it were Firmino you could just swap with Origi; similarly the defence is easy like that.

Tricky one. I’d be inclined to keep KdB if possible.

Just hope his price doesn’t rise tonight.

        • Good idea.

I hadn’t given one second’s thought to who Spurs had next – wasn’t even aware having thrown over Alli a week or two ago.

        • Thanks guys, I may just hold so and hope for the best.

  3. nice one hayden

  4. Ings captain fail, sadly!

Also, Snoddy very involved tonight. Took set pieces, got an assist, and played the entire match whereas Fornals and Lanzini were subbed. Talk me out of getting him in for Traore anyone?

    • Nope!

I’m also going for a(nother) West Ham player!

      :locked:

    • Look at WHU’s fixtures after the DGW, not that they’re great fixtures during the DGW.

      I can’t say I’m filled with confidence.

      • Nor me :mosking:

        • Which WHU players are you considering, GP? (he asked politely).

Their fixtures give me the fear.

        • I had Fabianski anyway and have him benched. He’ll probably not play but just in case, I’ve kept him. Noble came in two weeks ago to create funds for a Liverpool raid.

I may do a Mount to Snodgrass punt for the week.

Long term, I’ll be finding replacements for all three in turn.

        • I usually have a punt on a player from one of the less-favoured DGW sides. If Richarlison is still injured I may have a think about it but my enthusiasm isn’t high.

        • With a FT in hand I can have (most probably) 5 playing in a DGW and then move away from two of them. No other huge issues in my squad right now so I see it as maximising my chances of something happening when I can.

  5. Looks like alot of people myself included ditched jiminez for ings. I did it to get mane for next week. Wouldn’t be surprised if mane gets benched for one of them!

    • Yes I think there were quite a lot of transfers of Mr Consistent to Mr In Form. But it’s just one week. Next week will be different.

    • That sort of thing always happens, or seems to happen. See how it is after a few weeks.

  6. Things are not going well last few weeks – its my standard mid-season performance (not doing great). I have 1FT and 3.3m ITB.

    McCarthy (Button)
    TAA, Soyun, Lunds, Rico, Kelly
    Salah, KDB, Alli, Traore, (Dendo)
    Vardy, Abraham, Ings
    Suggestion pls..
    (1) Getting Mane needs 4 PH … Alli > Mane and Abraham > 7.3m (may be DCL, can’t fit Jim)
    or
    (2) Getting Firmino is straight… Abraham > Firmino and no hit…. and keep Alli, though he is not doing great.
    or
anything else? like plan to get Kun.

    • Can do Haller in option 1… not sure if thats worth..but he has 2 gws to make up the hit by 2 pts.

    • I think three Pool with zero hits makes sense.

Next week there will be a lot of people who have taken hits but picked the “wrong” (in hindsight) three Pool.
