Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23. It’s a compact GW, beginning on Saturday and finishing on Sunday, for once, but that’s also for a good reason as we come back again on Tuesday for a midweek feast. Which is our main message this week; snooze or lose, basically.
Saturday sees the majority of games, with 8 in total. Watford and Spurs get us going in the early one, Newcastle and Chelsea see us out later on, with six others at 3pm, we won’t bore you with the actual details; they are all in the pic below.
The remaining two games are on Sunday with Burnley hosting Leicester before Man Utd haul their carcass to Anfield to try and recall what a proper football team looks like.

The only good thing I did this week was not panicking and stayed with Ramsdale. Almost went for McCarthy who ended 2 points less than Rams

It’s just mine that one, I’m sure if we were to market something as actual ‘merch’ to buy it’d probably be a bit more sensibly mainstream than that. Floydeth nearly threw up when I showed him what I’d done to his lovely image :big-lol:

Just about. On 22 atm and three Leicester players plus Mane to go.
It’s not going to be a great round for many, apart for the Kun owners.
30 if bonus points stay as they are with hopefully 45 minutes of Mason Mount to go today.

24 (-4) after bonus. 6+ captain Salah to go

If ever there was a week to finally bite the bullet, it will be this one where you can bring him in for a Liverpool player (I assume) who has two bites of the cherry to outscore him immediately.
Indeed GP, I can at least bring in Salah or Mane easily. Bringing in the second one might be more difficult…

Looking at doing:-
Grealish->Salah
DCL->Ayew
Now, is DCL->Ayew the right move, or should I do Lundstram to a Brighton defender.
The other reason for looking at it now, Salah is due to price rise tonight, so will only leave me with 0.1m ITB from tomorrow.
I dont really like early transfers, as if there are injuries, it leaves me short.
Is it worth just holding out, and just go with the 0.1m for the next gameweek, and do my transfers near the deadline, just in case?
Hammer, going early for the sake of 0.1 could turn a false economy.
What if something happen to Salah in the tomorrow’s game?
I have planned two pool players as well but not gonna do anything until the game is over.

That’s wise. I’ve learn my lesson. Will never forget what happened a few years ago. Rushing to get Kun on Sunday evening after scoring a brace. Two days late he broke his leg in the UCL.
They’re massively at odds with Fix then because they’re on 48.6.

whats best to look at for price rises then?
I have the same dilemma. Was thinking to replace DCL with Firmino, but not any longer. He looked good again today and Firmino could be OK for the double but in a long term Salah might be more useful. In my situation, in order to get TAA as well, Lundstram has to go.
As for the price rise, I have no idea as never been interested. Have a look at the 5 top teams with the highest TV. They are all with OR like 4-5 million and have made at least 50 transfers, some even 80-90. I suspect those are teams designed especially for this and are in some competition about TV.
Not sure who is the most accurate Hammers as it’s not something I usually look at regularly.
Ivan, I wanna bring in Salah for the doubles, and to do that I need to lose either DCL or Lundstram. DCL scoring has made it harder for me to ditch him, but it means I have to get rid of Lundstram. But in order to do that, I need a 4.4m defender to replace him.
Brighton or Newcastle defenders are in my sights at the moment.
Hammers, we can’t have it all. If I only use my 2 FT without a hit I can replace Alli with Salah but will have the exact cash to do VVD → Lundstram.
If I decide to go for a hit, can bring TAA but have to settle with Mahrez instead of KDB. Mind you, we won’t need any City players for a while with those upcoming fixtures.
If I ditch Lundstram, at the moment its between Fernandez of Newcastle and Montoya of Brighton. Or DCL->Ayew
I think everyone is going for Dunk again, if you are to get a Brighton defender.
