Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24. Time to get the show on the road once again and we start down at the south coast for the lunchtime fare as Chelsea visit Brighton. Six 3pm matches follow as top-6 stragglers Arsenal host the slowly improving Crystal Palace, Man Utd take the short trip to Burnley, Everton welcome West Brom, Leicester entertain Watford, Stoke clash with Huddersfield and in what should be a more entertaining affair, Bournemouth go to West Ham.

The evening match sees Newcastle entering the lion’s den as they look to stop Kun, KdB et al at the Etihad. Sunday sees just one fixture and it’s another London team travelling south as Spurs go to Southampton.

Our game-week concludes on Monday with Swansea hosting free-scoring Liverpool.

  2. What’s people’s thoughts on Christensen? Has he just been unlucky recently? Or is it time to get rid?

    • Rid!

    • Unlucky I reckon. But rotation may be a big factor with him

    • I have him as well! I think he needs to go!

    • To be fair, there has been bad luck from a fantasy perspective.
      He was being rested last week and only came on due to Cahill injury – v annoying that he only just missed out on 60 mins.
      This week he only came off due to refs concern about concussion risk – again just missing 60 mins.
      He is a cheap way into the team and seems to be preferred by Conte, but there is a risk that Luiz gets back in.

    • Unlucky,im going to try and hang onto him one more week but if Cahill is passed fit it might be time to get shut as Conte does like to rest gim from time to time.

    • I’m loathed to let him go, as he’s a bargain when playing (more than 57 mins). Just not sure if he’s losing his place, or it’s just an unlucky blip.

    • I don’t have him but I think you need to get rid of him, especially after seeing Luiz get minutes last game. He’s definitely not nailed.

      • Yea it was seeing Luiz get some minutes which has me more concerned. I’m tempted to leave it a little longer and see.

    • I’d say give him another week Banjo and decide then

    • He looks like a great prospect. We’ve just been hellishly unlucky. Especially this week. I’d prefer to own a nailed on asset such as Azpilicueta or preferably Alonso but for his price and his potential returns he does the job. Well ok, he doesn’t right now it seems, but stupid occurrences aside he would.

      • I’ve been playing with ways of swapping him for Alonso, but the damage elsewhere is huge. To sum it up, keeping Christensen enables Mahrez. Swapping for Alonso means someone like Shaqiri. I think I’m gonna stick by him a little longer and hope that Conte sees him as one of his best 3 centre backs.

    -VVD in line to make first PL start for the Reds

    “Raggy was out, but hopefully back today. Dejan was out. Mo Salah was out, but hopefully back today.”

    “Mo and Raggy are on the good side of it already, but with Dejan we are not 100 per cent sure [if he will be back today].”

      We should probably all play it next season just for a laugh. Mito certainly would. In fact I’m surprised he doesn’t already. He’s a Real Madrid fan, that’s his first team as I understand it. As it would be, being a Colombian who lives in America and mainly follows the English PL!

      In fact, if anybody is up for it I’ll happily set a league now and we can play until the end of the season?

      • I’d play that yeah. They had one a few years back but Spanish ID was mandatory and I wouldn’t be getting that even if they offered it! But yeah, neighbor issues aside, I’d play it!

    • Be great to get a second chance to pick up players like Stuani, Aspas, Zaza and Paulinho. 😉

    • LFC fans (like lil ol me) can get to actually make a team with both Suarez & Coutinho 😉 laugh !!

    Do you think Vertoghen and Richarlison out for Tomkins and Pogba in is a) worth it and b) worth it for a -4?

    Its tonight or bust as prices will change.
    Tomkins feels too short term for me i.e. I am leaning towards no but it would be nice to get Pogba in

    what do you think?

  6. I somehow managed to survive the “HurriKane” so things look much better now !!

    Mo is the 2nd most cpt-ed player, but his pts are more than welcome :smiling:

    • Was a decent day for me too, I’ll forgive him for just the one goal! Salah and Mane to fill their boots please!

    • On that basis a Salah blank would be better. Firmino can step forward all he likes though!
