Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 26. No double games to contend with this week, just a straight forward set of 10. The last lot before we get rudely interrupted by the FA Cup again, but pay attention this time as what occurs in that may well impact hugely on what occurs in FPL later on with blank and double game-week ramifications all over the shop.

Saturday begins with two teams enjoying contrasting fortunes since they recently changed their managers as Fulham host Man United.

Saturday afternoon’s highlight, from a purely footballing perspective, will be watching Liverpool try not to choke completely against Bournemouth. Fail this test and we may as well just hand the title to City at 5pm. Elsewhere Palace and West Ham contest a derby, Huddersfield will continue their descent to the Championship against Arsenal, Saints and Cardiff have an almost literal six pointer and Watford will go all out to hang ex-boss Silva out to dry.

The final game of the day is Brighton vs Burnley, we guess there is some mild relegation interest at stake but beyond that we are struggling to either see the attraction or indeed why this is on TV. Even Brighton and Burnley fans will be hard pressed to avert their gaze if they have spent the afternoon painting walls…

Sunday should hold more interest though, Spurs Lite and Leicester kick us off nicely at 1.30pm before the main attraction at 4pm as Sarri takes his Chelsea balls to Man City for a lesson in motivation.

We continue into Monday this week as Wolves look to continue where they left off against Everton as Newcastle come to town, perhaps with a shiny new signing on show in the shape of Almiron.

The games in full…

    Hey good folks,

Currently on 70 with Doherty to go. Generally good week…but downside is my league rivals all had similar or better points…couple of what ifs…what if i had captained aguero..what if kolasinac didnt do a kolasinac…anyhow…

Just transferred Sane to Son (i know..should have waited..but i was just an eager beaver…)

So i am now with 0FT, 1.1M ITB
Fab/Stelenburg (why do i bother to mention him)
    Shaw/Doherty/Van Djik/Kolasinac/ Wan B
    JWP/Salah/Pogba/Son/Felipe. A
    Rashford/Aguero/Success

Question: Should i do a -4 for someone? Sould that someone be Aguero to Auba/Laca?
or Perhaps JWP for someone else?

    Thanks folks!

    G’Day All:
Another week without Aguero – what to say… Hoping for better times.
Have 1 FT and .9 mib. Would Digne to Pereira (LEI) be my best move? Do like the look of their match ups. Anything else?
    Thanks and cheers

63 pts with Bennett and Patricio to go! Things would’ve been a lot different had I opted to keep Foster in goal and captained Aguero! sad
fast falling behind in my ML too with the ML leader getting all the luck with Rashford(C) not featuring and Aguero(vc) getting the captain pts and Holebas coming off the bench for Rashford (thats 24 extra pts just because Rashford sat out one game). I do not have such luck, EVER!

Anyway, coming back to my team, I have made my moves early because the prices were going up on Saturday night! Did Sane + Richarlison + VVD > Mane + Pogba + Kolasinac for -4ph! Please suggest if the moves are okay. I couldn’t have waited for CL/EL/cup games because I wouldn’t have been able to make the moves later!

    Current squad that stands:
    Patricio/Foster
    Robertson/Kolasinac/WanBissaka/Bennett/Dunk
    Salah/Mane/Son/Pogba/Hojberg
    Aguero/Llorente/Rashford

What could be my next moves? Just need basic idea of a pool of players I should be targetting next with upcoming B/DGWs

We’ll have a better idea of who is / isn’t playing in GW31 etc after the next round of cup games.

I’m not over-thinking it at the moment because of that.

Whether or not I free hit in week 32, or wildcard in 32, or whatever, I haven’t decided yet. However I don’t think I will be playing any of the chips before 32. But perhaps I will.

At the moment for 31 I’m thinking 3 X Liverpool and then assessing after the cup games. There’s an outside, very outside, chance Wolves could feature in 31, which would save a lot of headaches.

However because Liverpool feature in 31 then the fact Salah will be captained by most will take some of the pressure off. Having a playing XI is less pressing and dismantling the side before then becomes unnecessary.

      • PorcelainBiscuit says:

        Yes, understand your point.
I will refrain from hits hereon and try to roll a FT to help set up GW31
Already have 3x LIV and 2X WOL…will try and accomodate Jiminez by then and see how it goes!

        Thanks Kralin!

I bought Agüero for 11.2 and now, partially thanks to knee-jerk FPL noobs, he’s worth 11.5 after last night’s price rise. That somewhat discourages me from doing the planned Auba ‘switcheroo’ that, for GW27 alone, seems logical. It probably shouldn’t; points come before team value. 2 FTs spent on it, though? I’m not convinced, really.

More remarkably: he’s currently *still* going up at > 1% per hour. How long will this foolery last? I enjoy FPL largely due to these mishaps.

      Rosco says:

I’m in the same boat, bought him for £11.3 so we can both now sell for £11.4 then in a week or so everyone who bought him will realise, sell him and we buy him back for exactly what we sold… or we just bench him! No idea either!! 😉

      • jamesimmo says:

Selling him would only pocket me 11.3 as it stands! Even if he rises again to 11.6 and I then sold for 11.4 like you, though, I’d need him to drop twice before recovering the SV lost upon repurchasing the beast. As you say, you’d just need him to drop once rather than twice, so happy days! Risking the switcheroo makes more sense for you.
