Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27. This is the first of the so called ‘blank weeks’ when a few teams miss out on fixtures. This particular one is because Man City and Chelsea face off in the Milk Cup Final and subsequently both Everton and Brighton get to sit it out too. If this comes as a surprise to you (Hi Raz!) then don’t say we didn’t mention it once or twice in our articles this week. Right after giving yourself a good old slap in the face.
What it does mean is that we have just eight games this week, and rather unusually we begin with two on Friday night. In fact, we think this is the first time this has ever happened. Cardiff face Watford and Fulham play West Ham, so let’s just hope it wasn’t some sort of deliberate marketing tool to draw in viewing numbers…
Burnley and Spurs get us going in the early one on Saturday prior to a paltry two games in the traditional 3pm slot as Bournemouth host Wolves (fantasy relevant) and Newcastle host Huddersfield (not!). Leicester and Palace play in the late one.
Sunday does look a bit more enticing as Arsenal play Southampton mid afternoon before the tie of the weekend sees the GW out on Sunday with Liverpool going to Man Utd to try and make the most of their game in hand. No idea who Man Utd fans actually prefer to win this one!
The games in full…

The League Codes for FF247 for the 2018/19 season are as follows –
Had a horrible GW. Could only manage a meagre 29 points with captain auba coming in for just 2 points. I would have been better off sticking with Aguero and saving the ft. Still managed to beat my cup rival though.
Any news on Rashford? I can see him being rested in any event. Aguero and TAA in for Laporte and Rashford is very tempting, given the injuries to the latter two. Concerned about TAA’s gametime though.
Is Rashford injured? Though he played 90 mins today
He was limping throughout. Could be impact. United will have a lot of injury issues. Think TAA is being eased back should be back in this week. So frustrating though when Robbo is scoring big every week. Why did I sell him
Aha ok thanks for the info Smash
AT – see comment 94.3 re:TAA
Just seen that. Thanks HL. Tempting then if Laporte is out
What happened to Laporte?
Came off at HT with a hamstring complaint. I’m just presuming he won’t make the game midweek at this moment in time.
Yeah I agree
Yeah hamstring doubt he plays
And if this goes to ET that would surely bring Agüero’s starting role into question for midweek (assuming he stays on!)
Oh wait, does it just go to pens?
Oh, it’s extra time. Surely this makes bringing Kun in risky!
Yeah 120mins for Kun tonight, a bit iffy
Especially so given Jesus will be fully rested
Isn’t Jesus injured ?
AT is Jesus fit to play? not in the squad tonight and 75% on the official pl-site
Hadn’t noticed that. Oh god that does make it interesting as Sterling will have played 120 too and he’s the only other I can see playing up front
Seems he was ruled out on a last minute decision so could be fit for Wed
Could mean Aguero gets reduced minutes midweek though.
True ->he was ruled out on a last minute decision.
Gooday there everyone! Thought I was having the crappiest of weeks, but my 52 (promised to me, once the substitutions are made) actually has green arrows attached to it – so I can imagine that there’ll be loads of teeth-gnashing out there tonight, with Auba’s 15 min 1pt (x2 for me!), as well as Salah’s stymieing at Old Traff’! Now I find that Aguero is out there at Wembley!!! Cripes – I’ve got him for GW 28! For crumb’s sake! What is to become of us all???? Tis a mad game! See y’all real soon! AJW
52 is a terrific score this week, great stuff.
I’ve had a lot of luck recently and that came screeching to a halt with Auba today. Still tempted to captain him v Bournemouth though.
I was pleased to see those who captained Lacazette get some reward.
Aguero playing 120mins today! Great to see
It’s certainly made the ‘shall I swap him straight back’ argument easier to put aside – maybe.
I’m waiting till the weekend at least.
Can’t believe what Keppa did to Sarri !!!
Sarri is pissed !!
The mad bastard!
He should be dropped indefinitely. So disrespectful – and he’s lost them the cup.
What happened? I didn’t see the game
Got subbed off. And refused to go off. And humiliated his manager in the process. Should be shot.
Jeez!
Some of these young players really need a good spanking!
And more than that.
I sympathise with Sarri on this one.
I do too. Unfortunately he’s not in a position of strength so I can understand his reluctance to put his foot down publicly, a bit. If that happened to Klopp I imagine he’d have done something similar to what I suggested below, but knowing full well that he’d have the clubs backing 100%, bit different when you already know you don’t.
If the club has any balls they should sack Kepa in the morning.
I’d have gone on the pitch and dragged him off by his collar. Absolute f*cking disgrace what he just did.
Yep.
Fully agree !!
Really hope that Chelsea does the right thing and sacks Kepa…
They won’t, unfortunately.
For sure.
I remember when Aurier publicly insulted his manager Blanc at PSG on a video on social media, he was just out for a month or so and came back in the team, probably because the board just said so.
So humiliating for the manager, a total disgrace. And despite all these managers could do wrong, it can’t be as deeply wrong as the behaviour of these players.
The fundamental difference, which I know you already appreciate, is that whatever, or however, the managers ‘do’, they do in the spirit of trying to do right for their themselves and ultimately their team. What he did is morally wrong, and the club should stand up to that, for the good of football. And mankind. As an example.
Might sound extreme but I’ve just sat there and watched that with my kids. And they both want answers on many levels. If their ultimate learning from that is that it’s ok then I despair.
I fully concur Init
Yeah, me too. I had to rewind to see what you were on about as I hadn’t seen the extra time, just the penalties. That’s just not allowed and as init says in much more levels than the game. One thing is to say that you are fine injury-wise, but if the manager and the whole staff actually are telling you to leave, you leave. Unbelievable stuff and for Sarri this is surely a career low. All the players taping his back like ‘leave him be” as if that was an option.
