Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 27
Well, after that super sized gameweek 26 that just passed we get an almost regular sized one in GW27. It is still a double, just not anywhere near the size of the one we just got through with.
This one kicks off with a lunch time meeting between Burnley and Arsenal. That is followed by three more fixtures featuring a little of everything from everywhere in the PL standings. Sheffield host the DGW darlings Saints, Villa welcome in Wolves and Leicester travel to Brighton in the late game.
Sunday brings us four more games including a match up only the immediate family of the players will watch when West Brom host Toon. Also on Sunday Liverpool play Fulham, that is followed by the Manchester Derby and the last game of the day sees the Jekyll and Hyde Spurs play Palace.
Monday gives us two more fixtures in an intriguing game when Chelsea play host to Everton and that is followed by West Ham who continue their fight to get bubbles in the Champions League next season.
The double is brought to a close by the two teams who are actually playing one. Saints take a trip to Manchester to play a City side that I am sure will leave plenty an FPL manager in a rage when they rotate the heck out of their Xl.
The games in full…

Brighton v Leicester
Wtf. No Harvey?
King Martinez does it again.
There we go, Konsa on my bench with a CS. Hope Dallas gets at least the same.
So saka over Watkins didn’t kill me in the end. Have Targett on the bench but was never starting him so not to pushed
Looking forward to the games tomorrow
Watkins “feels” like he never scores for me unless I have him on my bench.
He’s like a lost puppy without Grealish
Despite him playing gw29, I might get in Antonio for him in 29
I’ve got Grealish on my bench surley he’s back anytime now?
WWW – Wood Work Watkins!
Lol
‘Watkins’ rhymes with ‘Hopkins’ as in Gerard Manley Hopkins, who as we all know is distantly related to the former Liverpool captain.
But that trivia aside, Hopkins’ Binsey Poplars speaks movingly of woodwork:
My aspens dear, whose airy cages quelled,
Quelled or quenched in leaves the leaping sun,
All felled, felled, are all felled
I wouldn’t bet on it. Dean Smith will keep stringing you along like he did when Barkley was injured. Way it’s going, probably back after international break.
+1
Martinez now on 7, down from 10 at about the 90th min
What brought about such a shocking drop? Did he assault his goalposts?
Lost a save point, Coady gained some baps.
Oh well. Ownership is such that it makes little difference. In the context of mini-leagues however I suppose every little helps.
I’ve long trained myself to tune out of my fantasy side when following games. Those fluctuations of points are enough to drive a fellow mad.
Double CS with Martinez & Targett :biggun:
For some dumbass reason I played Holding over Targett. I’m happy that Holding did not play any of the match.
Holding strong – still on target! Like a coded message from WWII!
Same here, but with Konsa. At least something’s gone well so far!
