Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28. Back so soon? Hopefully these random deadlines will be playing havoc with your mini-league rivals. And equally, hopefully not with you. Before we move on then, it’s probably worth noting that the next deadline is on Saturday, a mere 3 1/2 days from now. That one will be less of a surprise, but it’s always worth knowing.

Tuesday looks like a parade of the perennially mid-table / relegation battlers. Cardiff could actually go within 5 points of Everton with a win and we aren’t sure if that says more about Neil Warnock or less about Marco Silva. Huddersfield are pretty much done for and the Wolves are at the door. Brighton are not safe yet and will be looking to pull Puel closer to his own exit. Neither Newcastle or Burnley are mathematically safe just yet, a win for either would be a big step towards being so.

Wednesday brings an altogether more positive atmosphere with the big guns all on show. Sort of. Arsenal kick us of in pursuit of their main prize against Bournemouth; 4th place. Southampton and Fulham continue to defy our criteria with a true relegation battle. Chelsea and Spurs then look to threaten it, before the real big boys come in to play as Palace (no, not you!) host Man United, Liverpool grapple with Watford and Man City play with West Ham.

The games in full…

      Carroll starts ?!
      Chicharito benched.
      Arnautovic missing ?

      • Found this online:

West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic was a late withdrawal from the Hammers side to face Manchester City at the Etihad on Wednesday evening having initially been down to start.

The Austrian striker, who hasn’t been included in a starting eleven for a month after he January transfer window kerfuffle, is missing through illness in Manchester and was replaced in the side by Andy Carroll.

Javier Hernandez, maybe with one eye on the game against Newcastle this weekend on Manuel Pellegrini’s mind, only made the bench at the Ethad as Carroll skippered the side.

There was another shock inclusion at left back as Ben Johnson, just 19, was thrown in for his senior debut against the reigning Premier League champions in place of Aaron Cresswell, who has a foot injury.

Arthur Masuaku has been dropped from the squad entirely, as has Lucas Perez. Javier Hernandez, Pablo Zabaleta, Mark Noble and Robert Snodgrass have been named on the bench for tactical reasons.

That West Ham line up looks awful.
Really worried that Aguero will make a carnage.

Fingers crossed for Salah tonight, worried about Aguero (despite owning) and petrified of Auba.
Called a lot of what happened last night (glad I took the armband off of Jimenez). Digne’s cleanie looking like gold dust. Huddersfield late goal hurt with Doherty and Patricio in my side. Read my thoughts here. https://fantaseefootball.net/

What kind of masochist watches almost every minute of Fulham football this season?! This team provides basically zero enjoyment of any kind!! Unbearable to watch. Wtf. #sorryrantover

I actually thought they would get out of it a few weeks back. I don’t anymore.

      inittowinit says:

Could it be that you’ve been a victim of your own style of football, from last season? You came up with a great reputation for playing in the ‘Pep’ style, for want of a better description, but unfortunately it’s difficult to make inroads with that once you step up. And then you have to try to adapt and change, and before you know it’s too late and you’ve gone. Norwich may have a similar issue next season. The teams with a more ‘robust’ approach tend to be able to adapt / cope quicker.

      • TheDreamers says:

They also bought an entire new team Init. Rarely works.

      • Colriles says:

Absolutely Innit. And the two commentators said exactly that yesterday. Thought they could play technical, pass out of the back, free-flowing football from day one and they never had a prayer. Combine that with big money signings who simply can’t play in this league and drama around managers in and out, and that’s that. The bigger problem now is there’s zero incentive for Tom, Sess and Mitro to want to stick it out. I see all 3 going to other PL clubs next season. Then we’re truly screwed.

TAA with 2 assists for Mane’s two goals. What’s Salah doing
