Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28. Back so soon? Hopefully these random deadlines will be playing havoc with your mini-league rivals. And equally, hopefully not with you. Before we move on then, it’s probably worth noting that the next deadline is on Saturday, a mere 3 1/2 days from now. That one will be less of a surprise, but it’s always worth knowing.

Tuesday looks like a parade of the perennially mid-table / relegation battlers. Cardiff could actually go within 5 points of Everton with a win and we aren’t sure if that says more about Neil Warnock or less about Marco Silva. Huddersfield are pretty much done for and the Wolves are at the door. Brighton are not safe yet and will be looking to pull Puel closer to his own exit. Neither Newcastle or Burnley are mathematically safe just yet, a win for either would be a big step towards being so.

Wednesday brings an altogether more positive atmosphere with the big guns all on show. Sort of. Arsenal kick us of in pursuit of their main prize against Bournemouth; 4th place. Southampton and Fulham continue to defy our criteria with a true relegation battle. Chelsea and Spurs then look to threaten it, before the real big boys come in to play as Palace (no, not you!) host Man United, Liverpool grapple with Watford and Man City play with West Ham.

The games in full…

Guys. My plan is to build to 31 and 33, FH in 32, WC in 34, BB in 35 and TC some other time.

Based on that, I need to make a few transfer to get to GW 31.

I’d like to bring in Mane, Maddison, Pereira and Wilson/ Rondon.

The enabler in this is Rashford to Wilson/Rondon.

    Here’s my question, do I:

    1) roll the FT this week and play Bennett and Richarlison. Then do Rashford to Wilson/Rondon, Son to Mane next week. (Maybe bringing in Maddison too).

    Or

    2) richarlison to Maddison this week. Playing Maddison and benching Bennett this week. (Will wolves get a CS against Cardiff??)

    1 FT and 0.3

    Thanks!

      Kralin says:

I’m half tempted to make Pogba my captain this week.

I’d be more inclined to roll it, man, and see how Leicester go as a new era dawns for them.

Like you I’m staring at Richarlison in my team and hoping he’ll vanish. For me he goes in 30 for a Bournemouth geezer, unless Bournemouth start losing at home the way they lose away.

      • beno1234 says:

Pogba is tempting particularly if Jesus is back. Bournemouth are just leaking so many goals right now!

Richarlison basically had his last chance against Cardiff and I can’t face keeping any longer. But maybe I will for one more.

        • Kralin says:

Maddison interests me more in GW30 than 31. Similarly Fraser. Or just crazily stick with Richarlison, though actually I don’t fancy him at all away to Newcastle. Or at home this week. But it’s too early, for me, for M or F.

    Evening all,
Would appreciate some suggestions for transfers this week. If Wan bissaka is fit to play this weekend I might save the transfer as I think my team is fine for this GW, but it feels a bit wrong to not change anything after 4 straight red arrows laugh
Any moves you think I should make this week? I’m planning on using my FH in GW31 and then WC in either GW33 or 34, so only need to make transfers for next two GWs and DGW32.
    Thanks in advance!

Can we see Sterling in a forward role against BOU ?
Pep has used him before as a center forward.

    Frenchie says:

Do you prefer Higuain or Vardy for gw29, 30,31,33?
I’m not super excited by either but I’m considering moving Auba to one of them, to free funds elsewhere and prepare for GW31.

      Kralin says:

I’m having a ponder over Auba myself at the moment. Was originally planning the Kun move but I’m getting the fear because of his fatigue. Knowing me I’ll end up keeping him.

Both those two play against Fulham soon. Leicester, who knows, may be reinvigorated. But I’d like to monitor. Chelsea are a bit topsy-turvey.

It’s a ball-breakingly difficult question Frenchie. Why couldn’t you have asked about quantum mechanics?

Or which is the best of Les Rougon-Macquart?

      • Frenchie says:

Kralin, I was counting on your quantum mechanics skills to be able to answer that question 😉

To be fair I had planned the same move, Auba to Aguero this week, but I’m worried too and am even considering bringing Sterling instead as a city asset now for next 2 gameweeks. But I’m also considering keeping Auba! At least for the next game. One reason being that I’m pretty sure he will play against Tottenham as it’s a big game they would need to win, and he could definitly score there. And not bring any city player at all, which sounds scary, but may not be that stupid.
Basically I have a bit too many options in my head and I would like to narrow them down, but I find it quite difficult.

      Kruzcampo says:

I am going for Higuain and Maddison so leaving Vardy but may pick him up sometime after GW31 for Barnes.

    • 106.3
      inittowinit says:

Probably Vardy, simply because we know he will play. Rodgers won’t faff around like Puel was doing in that respect. Best weapon, stick him on the pitch, end of.

Sarri has been chopping and changing again and has recently played Giroud, Higuain and again recently Hazard up top. No guarantees with him, basically.

      • Frenchie says:

        Hmm ok thanks Init.
Although Sarri hasn’t really played Giroud in PL, and I feel like Giroud will be stuck to the Europa league games, which would cement Higuain’s position, but indeed Sarri played Hazard up top in League Cup. And I don’t really like Higuain. Sounds like I’m convincing myself to go with Vardy.
Or maybe stick with Auba this week.
I don’t know what to do!

      Frenchie says:

Ok thanks guys, I just made my moves. A bit early but I’m not sure I will have the time before the deadline.
      Very (too) aggressive moves?
Kola, Son, Auba to Luiz, Sterling and Vardy for -4.

      • inittowinit says:

Love it Frenchie. Aggressive it is but why not at this time of the season. That’s 3 heavyweight transfers in given this week’s fixtures for a paltry -4. Really hope it works out for you.

      • Kralin says:

Best of luck. They should see you well.

I’m dithering a bit over Auba. Need the deadline looming to help make up my mind. I can’t see much between him and Vardy this week but from next, yes.
