Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3

A lunch time kick-off gets us going this week when Wolves or as City likes to call promoted teams, dinner, face off. That is followed by four 3pm games. Arsenal and West Ham tangle in a battle to save face, that is accompanied by the two worst teams in the Premier League matching up when Huddersfield welcomes Cardiff, about the only team the Terriers will feel like they can take any points off. In the other two similar time fixtures, the Vardy-less Foxes take on Southampton and The Cherries play host to Richarlison’s Toffees. Our Saturday finishes with Liverpool putting a half a dozen past Brighton in the late game.

Sunday brings us another three games. Watford look for their third win this new season when Palace drop in, the other two fixtures see Fulham versus Burnley and the heavy spending Toon go against Sarri with his high pressing, no defending side.

Our game-week is brought to an end when styles clash at Old Trafford as United see Spurs come in for a visit. Should be fun watching Jose rally his loyal troops to get all XI behind the ball, while Poch implores his side to not let them out of the back.

Well chuffed bringing in Alonso with one of my two free transfers.

Pissed off at Sessegnon coming on for a minute for one point in a fixture that he could have scored decent points in if he had started.

Think I peaked too early last night in bringing in Wally for Jota.

Anyway all finished up with 69 points for the game week which I am well delighted with.

Don’t you just love green arrows 😉

Hi people hope all had good weekend!
Ended up with 56points if bonus stays the same so could’ve been worse! I’ve got issues with Riki, Arnie and maybe Shaw, as well as Hudson on my bench. Could hopefully put out a decent side next week without transfers but wanna keep on top of my decent start!
Leaning towards Riki to Walcott but am considering Pedro too …just wondering if it’s worth it and who to drop from my team if I brought 1 in? Also wanna make sure I could buy Riki back (he’d need to drop to £6.6)
Alternatively I could wait for news on Arnie/Shaw and change one of those leaving Riki on bench!?
Anyway…these are my possible teams for next week …what are your thoughts?

United look shaky in the back mate so Shaw seems a concern anyway to me……After tomorrows game, personally i would change Shaw but if Rich is out until 23rd Sep, then definitely get rid of him. He will drop down in price for sure…….

      • RedKev says:

Cheers mate! Will wait and see if Shaw plays tomorrow and whether they look any tighter but going on past stats would hope for a CS with Man U/Burnley. Who do you think is priority (Shaw/Riki) and who would your swap them for?

What’s going on with the BPS?! Zaha was on for 3 as the game finished but ends up with 0

Good evening! My first dilemma for the season: is the following worth a hit?

Richarlison —> Hughes (or Kante) and Shaw —> Alonso.

This would be my 2nd hit of the season already — not ideal — but price rises dictate that I’d have to do this tonight. Too kneejerk? Alonso’s really on fire.

      FC Sanchez says:

I brought in Alonso last week for a hit so I’d say so, jamesimmo. Chelski have some tasty fixtures coming up — 2 home (Bou+Car) and an away to WH — but even beyond that he’ll prolly pay you back in the long run if he keeps getting real forward in assist AND goal-scoring positions.

    FC Sanchez says:

I’m starting to think 4-4-2 is the way to go this season with a lot of attack-minded defenders getting goals/assists/AND BONUS POINTS (even when they don’t score or assist [e.g. Robo this gw]) whereas the fwds don’t (and end up w/ just 5pts). What do you reckon? Do you think this trend will continue?

      jamesimmo says:

It’s a good shout in theory, but strikes like Kane haven’t really hit form yet, and their quasi-frequent hat-tricks (from him, Aguero, possibly even Auba) will probably change the landscape.

      • FC Sanchez says:

True, those two haven’t come into the picture yet but most likely will in time. Trying to get them all in if/when they hit form (Kane+Auba that is) will be pricey!

      EBC says:

I’m thinking 4-3-3 may be where the value is at. Strikers are good because they tend to be in the bp hunt when they score but midfielders often have to do more than just one goal.

    Rosco says:

    Afternoon all!
Looking at my Options for replacing Richarlison, any one think him and Mane to Pereyra and Haz is worth a -4? Only prob is I’d have to move tonight ok Pereyra

    • 192.1
      Horse says:

That’s a good looking side you have there Rosco. Pereyra doesn’t have great fixtures in the short term but he has great form. I think he’s been involved in 7 out of Watford’s last 11 goals I read somewhere

      • Rosco says:

Thanks Horse, Yeah I’m not super desperate for Pereyra it was more for Haz, other than that I’m thinking either just moving for Wally or Gross which are both quite dull moves and obviously block off Haz. I’m reading Haz looked good today and has better fixtures than Mané, hence my thought process!
