Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3.
Well looky here, we start on a Friday again. This time it is Aston Villa playing host to barely scoring Everton, but not to worry Toffee fans, nothing can fix an attack faster than a game vs the Villains.

Saturday brings us six fixtures. They kick-off with a lunch time meeting between Pukki mania and a team that gave Hazard’s number 10 to Willian. After that there is four 3pm games. Brighton vs Southampton is accompanied by Man United against Palace, the surprising Sheffield, match-up versus the Ayoze Perez led Leicester and Watford tangle with West Ham. The day is capped with the best game on paper when first place Liverpool plays first place Arsenal.

Sunday has three more fixtures in store for us. The early game sees Bournemouth get pummeled by City in a game that could see The Cherries 25th choice keeper Aaron Ramsdale get rammed up the…. The latter two games has Spurs take apart Toon and Wolves fight it out with Burnley.

The games in full…

  1. I don’t think some of these players realise the importance of the FPL, I mean look at this tweet from Sterling.

    hahaha dem comments

I get it u guys captained me in FPL (and thank u) but I cant score hat tricks every weeks u know

He is looking at the bigger picture, Kane needs to take a look at himself.

Also if Kane’s ability to score goals is linked to Eriksen then the manager of Spurs and England need to have a serious think about Kane’s future in the team.

    • Different type of players. Kane is purely a finisher. Of course he needs a team to provide him the proper support. Between City and Spurs which team you think gives the strikers more chances to score?

  2. Kane looked poor today!!

    • Harsh on one player. Bs. It’s the team and how it is setup. Can’t believe I’m defending Kane. Look at what you people made me do.

      https://youtu.be/xDMNHvnIxic

      • He had to keep coming deep to get the ball when until eriksen came in!

        • Role is very unclear with Son, Moura and him. Three players that like to play the striker role. Sensible move is to always put the biggest guy in the middle and most forward. Lolz. The dude lacks speed at that. Its really crazy. If there is anyone to blame its the manager

        • I agree with Raz here, plus why take out your most creative player when you know there is going to be no space, with that low block you need the David Silva, Eriksen type players. The only thing I found odd was that when Spurs got tired of moving it about and just crossed it, it was always Moura challenging for the header and Kane….well, not sure where the hell he was at. smile

  3. Oh Sonny. Shouldnt have tried to be clever and just brought in KDB.

Pope’s lost CS in the dying embers hurts but that’s FPL for you!

Another -4 for me this week, I reckon.

    • Yeah I reckon I’ll take another -4 I don’t need to but some players will just rise. Guess Jota needs to go as well

      • And think I want Cantwell

      • Cantwell looks great value in that attacking Norwich side. Mount (if fit) and Haller are on my radar for Perez and King. Seems a no brainer really!

  4. Anyone know what Agueros potential price rise status is at?

  5. Any ideas here? Jota needs to go I think. Also think I want Cantwell so I’ll take a -4

    • Dendoncker -> Cantwell or Mount
      Jota -> Wesley, Haller, Barnes

    • Cantwell and Haller laugh

      • I can do that as well. Though just not sure about losing Ceballos as just got him in

        • Barnes and Cantwell and do it for Dendoncker then? Or do you need to raise some cash for that? Not sure on Wesley yet myself.

        • Yeah think I might do that and bench Ceballos

    • No need to panic with that team is there?

      • Nah we’ll theres too much in defence but it looks alright. Hence why no wildcard yet

    • I’m thinking Cantwell and Barnes in for Dendoncker and Jota

      • I like it! laugh

      • has Cantwells goals come from nowhere?

        Disclaimer smile

I asked the same question on Pukki before I did not bring him in

        • I did some stats from last week’s games and I feel like Cantwell stood out there also. And by stood out, I mean for a 4.5 guy. Think he had the most attempted assists vs Newcastle with 4-5 and was second in some other category. His average position was decent also for what we like in fpl.

        • I compared him to Mount and he weren’t far off him. Looks like a great enabler

      • At 4.6, he’s great value right now.

    • Can you just do Cantwell and leave Barnes until after Liverpool? Save yourself -4. Like you I have Jota but I’m (for now anyway) half-inclined to leave him and roll the transfer. However I’ve no idea how Jota got on today.

      • Think I’ll just do Cantwell tonight at least. I currently have exact cash for Jota to Barnes but I’m sure there will be a 0.3 swing there this week.

        • I’m probably more relaxed about it as I have Wilson so will be able to swap him whenever if need be. Plus I may have a Martial situation.

          Barnes is v appealing.

        • Yeah I really thought Jota would score today. His fixtures are still not great either. Yeah I’ve no idea on Martial and how Barnes is in such good form

        • I found this last year but one of the (albeit fairly minor) problems about having cheap strikers is that you always end up being lumbered with one for longer than you’d like. After GW4 I may well bring in Barnes for Wilson, which’ll mean I will still have Jota. Maybe other events will intervene however.

I remember this happening last year with Mitrovic.

        • Yeah this is true. Under this strategy I can see me wanting rid of that forward every week. I’d prefer to downgrade the defence and ironically enough get Kane/Auba in but that’s a wildcard problem

        • The wildcard could be used to drop Zinchenko and bring in Kun, though other compromises would be needed to pull that one off. Challenging, would mean a weak defence and in the always tricky three premium territory where choosing a captain is a massive headache.

  6. Just did Perez and Dendoncker OUT

    Lanzini and McGinn IN….

Thinking on using WC at GW #5… Burnley games looks fine in september but first they receive Liverpool : /
