Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3.
Well looky here, we start on a Friday again. This time it is Aston Villa playing host to barely scoring Everton, but not to worry Toffee fans, nothing can fix an attack faster than a game vs the Villains.

Saturday brings us six fixtures. They kick-off with a lunch time meeting between Pukki mania and a team that gave Hazard’s number 10 to Willian. After that there is four 3pm games. Brighton vs Southampton is accompanied by Man United against Palace, the surprising Sheffield, match-up versus the Ayoze Perez led Leicester and Watford tangle with West Ham. The day is capped with the best game on paper when first place Liverpool plays first place Arsenal.

Sunday has three more fixtures in store for us. The early game sees Bournemouth get pummeled by City in a game that could see The Cherries 25th choice keeper Aaron Ramsdale get rammed up the…. The latter two games has Spurs take apart Toon and Wolves fight it out with Burnley.

The games in full…

I am going to keep Kane, I think he can make up for this game, I am sure the manager has given the players a stern talking to!

With Son back, will Lamela be a non starter in future. Also I just can’t believe that Poch substituted Lamela for Erikson while they were trailing.. Crazy.. Lamela has the knack of picking up goals. Poch gone mad I think.

Nah, Eriksen brings Kane into the game like none of the other midfielders can do!

      • Terminator says:

Doesn’t the manager know this though?
What is he going to do about it?
IF Eriksen is leaving, should Kane be dropped from the team then or sold with Eriksen?

I cannot believe that one player can have so much influence on another, who is supposed to be a World Class player.

        • AT says:

Spurs seem to benefit from one focal point in attack. Son, Lucas and Kane all on the pitch seems to confuse them!

If I were manager I’d be starting Sonny boy 😆

What’s the deal with KWP? Quick perusal of twitter suggests a hammy. That doesn’t look good! Might have to bin him soon. Maybe not this week but next.

Why all the hate in here for Kane? I didn’t see the match. Was he really that bad or the team as a whole?

Didn’t watch either but from what I’ve read it seems to have been a crappy showing from the whole team. The talisman usually gets the lion’s share of the hate when things go wrong though!

      • SAFs_hairdryer says:

I’d assumed the same from the comments. I suppose either way it doesn’t do his FPL prospects much good

        • Smash says:

He did not do much. Thing with me is he’s not in the box enough and it’s a budget thing. I’d love to have him but he’s struggling to get into the box at times, looks a lot better when Eriksen plays but will he be there for much longer. One thing for sure is I prefer the look of Sterling and Salah

        • SAFs_hairdryer says:

I have Sterling and Salah do am wondering is it’s worth holding on to Kane for another week. Reassess after the IB. I have a few other players to move on too so he may dodge the bullet this time around.

        • Kralin says:

It’s easy for me to say because I don’t have him but I’d definitely keep a player I’d just brought in and Kane is not exactly lacking in pedigree. I appreciate concerns about Spurs’ duffness etc but the Arsenal game should bring out the best (hopefully). I was very surprised at he result today, given that Newcastle had taken such a bad beating at the hands of Norwich.

      • It was a bad performance for the whole team. I mean Kane was for the most part invisible so it didn’t help. Son and Moura combined for 11 shots between them, Kane had 1 shot and that was in the dying minutes. Just never got in the game. Problem was that Toon really held a low block and he never got service. Probably one of those games where if Spurs score first, if forces Toon out of that low block and Kane gets a couple of decent chances.

I am not for sure, but I think I remember seeing that he had completed two passes in the first half and had zero shots.

Let’s give some credit to Newcastle. They played a very cleaver game and got on Spurs nerves whenever they could. The 0-1 added salt to the wound and then it was simply too late when Erik came along. This was Villa all over again with one difference, which is Newcastle’s bigger experience. They could have got another goal too. That said, Moura missed a sitter from Kane in the first half and Kane also missed what could’ve have been an easy close range shot somewhere around the 90´´. They need the basics, that is, Alli, Erik, Son and Kane. For now, with Moura and Lamela in the team, I wouldn’t buy Kane (I have him) that’s all I can say.

Praying there isn’t am unexpected price fall/rise for Perez or Mount. Want to wait on Mount’s injury. Doesn’t seem like anything but what a waste of a transfer if it is. Unfortunately I’m bang on the money for my planned moves so no room for movement.
