Live Match Chat Game-week 31 – FPL Fantasy Premier League
The DGW continues tonight, so once again it’s time to sit back and see how your chosen players fare for you. Hopefully your players will perform, did you give the armband to the right player this week?……
Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck for the second half of GW31 from all at FF247!
Geeezzzzzzzzzzzz. Rodgers crazy? Taking out the best striker of the game.
Raz, YES.
And to think i nearly went tripple hammers this week. Definitely a dark splodge on an otherwise brilliant week.
Come on Sterling, a cheeky 3 minute hatrick isn’t too much to ask for….
Nolan and Collins are my 2 main failures this week. I’ll live!
Yeh James, those 100+ points from the other 9 players sure help ease the pain!
Absolutely
Evra and Adrian are mine! Can’t complain with164! Still got red arrows though!
Crazy! Standards at the top >
Bloody hell, unbelievable. Great scores.
I will get 173 and I lost -1 on the players I brought in on an 8 point hit!! Speaking of which we were all (me included!) quibbling over taking an extra 4 or 8 point hits this week, just drops in the ocean!!!!! 😉
Average score of top 10 is 161. Topp score of 172 – No 1, Silva Surfers. Fair do’s, the guy knows his onions!! He did take a hit though!!
I can’t imagine he’ll be at the summit by the end though… surely? He’s had such a long stay up there! It shall probably be you replacing him!
Where will u finish roughly B-Bash???? Hopefullly in top ten?!?!?!
Appreciate that boys! I’m now 8th. There is nothing between 5th and 12th. Top 4 are stretching their legs a bit. Surfers are 43 points ahead.
Thats only 6 points a GW B-Bash mate hang on in there!!!! 😉
Question is B-Bash – when it comes to captaincy – will you look to consolidate your top 10 position and play it safe with Suárez or look to reach the very summit with some calculated risks?
Hang in there Bash! One killer game week, inspired transfer, or captain’s pick and the table could be turned upside down! You’ve just gotta stay close and keep fighting until the last match. Best of luck, mate!
Great philosophy Peaky! I’ll remember that! Thankyou!
Cheers Red! Fair question Jim, but its so risky!! Suarez as captain is almost a blocking tactic now! Its the differentials that make up the points. Thats why I really wanted Johnson to do well tonight. Its the players you own that no one around you have that I scream for! Like you say, calculated risks are needed to make up the points!
B-Bash we’ve touched on this very point in the Captains article for tomorrow. Nothing extreme but just that lucky one week where Suarez blanks and you pick Yaya and he gets 2 or whatever can make a big difference. It’s more about whether you are trailing or leading a mini league but I guess it applies to you in this instance just the same.
What’s the craic folks, are we well? I’d tend to agree with Bash here, Nibbles will do what he does, let the diff’s do the talking.
Lukaku this week for Captain! As I write this tho I start to think Yaya would be a much better bet, with Arsenal looking weak and all….
One blemish and one blemish alone, that’s the Chester OG which meant he scored 5 only with Williamson on the bench on 9 points. But I cannot complain. 164 points before bonuses, not the best by far but very happy with that. Like many, that’s my all time record.
Great scoring TJ, Ronnie O’Sullivan will be pleased to hear about my 147, not giving the (c) to Suarez wasn’t the major disaster it could have been.
So you gave it to studge as well did you? I would have liked it alot more if i hadn’t changed from Jaws to him at the last second. But for those few who captained Yaya, congrats.
Did Demel get a Assist ?
Yeah he got the assist for Chester’s OG
So I should be around 162 points, which is good enough i think.
In the end, the whole Nolan vs AJ saga comes to an it. It was a pretty difficult choice for everyone, and people favored Nolan over AJ because of his home fixtures. But AJ outscored him by 2 points, which is insignificant in this DGW to be honest.
Anyway, AJ holders should definitely hold on to AJ till the DGW. He was electric against Liverpool, could have easily bagged 2 more assists if Altidore had been quicker with his feet.
Looks like I’ll end up with 147 after Stevie and Daniel’s BPS today. Not spectacular, but not too bad for only having 7 DGW players and not going crazy with hits.
Hopefully that will be enough to keep me moving up the ranks, now it’s time to start thinking about this week’s transfers! Right off the bat I’m thinking of bringing Lallana back for Nolan who was a total disappointment this week. What are people thinking about for transfers so far??
Kevin ‘the 4 pointer’ Nolan, as I call him now, shall get a weeks stay longer in my team (vs Sunderland, another ‘good’ fixture’) before I boot him out for Eriksen.
+1
Nice one james. I really like Eriksen and had him for a while. But he’s just not nailed on enough for me. I don’t know how he wasn’t starting when every time he came on the pitch he was Tottenham’s best player by a mile. But Sherwood’s obviously mental and I just don’t trust he’ll start enough.
Cheers, yeah I admit Sherwood likes his erratic rotation of players, but given his Spur’s current situation and Eriksen’s performance vs Southampton I will be quite frankly STAGGERED if he doesn’t start from now on.
I’ve really set myself up here for when he doesn’t now!
Red.
Im not sure whether people will favor Lallana any more, but his fixtures are quite decent. Currently Im looking at Eriksen and i can bring him by losing one of Gerrard or AJ. Since i already have SaS, i think Gerrard will be the one to go so i can keep AJ until DGW.
But yes, do look at Spurs fixtures from GW33 onwards. Sunderland, WB, Fulham, Stoke and WH.
I’ve loaded up on Everton players this week bringing in Barkley and Distin, Everton have Fulham at the weekend and a DGW in 34 so the -4 doesn’t seem like to big a risk. Be keeping a close eye on Man City at the weekend to see if Aguero makes it back or not, would probably like to get him into my team now if he’s fit.
You’ll be with me on Distin Andy, I look forward to that game, as long as Mirallas gets a start and Coleman doesn’t go crazy!
Martinez is another manager who I just can’t predict, so I’m hesitant to bring in Everton midfielders. My thought now after this DGW is that I’d rather have a player who is very good and 100% nailed on, rather than a halfway decent DGW player who MIGHT start both games.
We saw this past DGW that players like Lallana, J Rod, Ivanovic, and Hazard can score consistent points, and in some cases outscore their DGW counterparts. So I’m not going to let the DGWs be the only factor when I’m making transfers.
The Toffee’s have Fulham, Sunderland and Palace in 3 of their next four games, too hard to resist for me Red.
I wasn’t planning on making a sub this week. Was looking at Eriksen in for Mata the following week.
Only problem could be Sterling. Looks like his time is limited with Coutinho back.
