Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 34

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 34. Back to some semblance of normality, although even then we have a double game-week of sorts to contend with this week.

Once again we begin on Friday night, this time with a bubbling Leicester hosting a bumbling Newcastle.

Saturday sees six games in total. Spurs welcome Huddersfield in the early one before Brighton and Cardiff play the first of their ‘DGW’ games with Bournemouth visiting the former and Burnley hosting the latter. Relegated Fulham then welcome Everton and the Saints play a crest fallen Wolves. The late one on Saturday sees West Ham taking a trip to Old Trafford to play Man United.

The title race resumes on Sunday with Man City going first again as they visit Palace before Liverpool play catch up at home to Chelsea.

Watford and Arsenal are our Monday night entertainment before the DGW giants of Brighton and Cardiff clash on Tuesday evening.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

It’s hard to believe that it’s 30 years since the Hillsborough tragedy. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I was 9 and when the game was stopped I went outside to kick a ball around in the garden and remember thinking how annoying it was that the game had been stopped.

The 96 are gone but will never be forgotten sad

I was only 3yrs old when Heysel happened and only 7yrs old for the Hillsborough one.
Don’t remember much, but the one thing I remember for sure is that I was watching the game on TV,with my dad.
As a 3yrs old kid and a “baby” Juve fan, that was probably my 1st football match I have ever watched(that I remember of).
Don’t have to explain how shocking it was for me to witness those scenes in my 1st ever football game on TV.
That was ironically the 1st time I heard the Liverpool name, too.

Since that accident, I remember English clubs were banned from European competition/s and LIV for 6yrs.
That was the Golden Era of the Italian football, so needless to say it was the main league of interest for people all around the world.

As a 7year old, I was already following football more regularly (as my dad was a former player), so I remember how the news about the Hillsborough tragedy echoed around the world.
It’s sad that a thing like that had to happen in order for better safety regulations to be implemented.
A sad day for the whole football world and especially for the 96 that are gone and more than the 700ones that were injured.

It was that year (’89) when one local TV bought the rights for the LIV-EVE Cup final (if I am not mistaking),
and that was the moment when the PL walked into my life and more importantly the moment when I started following LIV.
From ’92 onward, the PL was regularly televised.

I remember my father had a tough time trying to explain to a 7yr old why both teams were wearing black armbands and the story behind it.
As a 7yr old, I struggled to understand how a tragedy like that could have happened, at all.

When you’re as young as I/we were then, you can’t really be expected to comprehend what it means. It’s when you grow up, go to games and then take your own to games (or even just see other young folk at the game) then you realise how big Hillsborough was as a human disaster.

      It’s always a sad day.

God bless them all Kop and also all the people who fought to prove their innocence and preserve and protect their memory.

I was at Villa Park that day for the other semi and we had no clue whatsoever what was happening or indeed that anything was. Had a number of friends in that stand but thankfully no harm came to them. I know Elle was at the game, I’d assume in that stand too. Can’t quite comprehend that it’s 30 years ago.
