Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36. It’s almost back to a
sense of normality for GW36. We saw ‘almost’ because we do have another Friday deadline this week (and while we’re talking about it, GW37 is the same). It’s Huddersfield’s chance this week to see if they can win the award for conceding the softest ever penalty to Liverpool as they visit Anfield. James Milner for captain anyone?!
We then move into the weekend proper and it’s a lunchtime kick off at Spurs as Poch’s men host their nemesis from the east end.
Four 3pm matches follow as Everton visit Palace, Fulham try and drag Cardiff down with them, we have a battle of the south coast as Saints host Bournemouth and Watford & Wolves get to re-enact their entertaining Cup semi-final.
The evening match sees Duffy & Dunk get another opportunity to taunt owners as they try and stop Newcastle’s modern day duo of Shearer and Ferdinand as Perez & Rondon stroll into town.
Only a few hours rest before our game-week comes to a close with Sunday’s final three matches.
Opening the show is Arsenal’s visit to Leicester before Man City have the chance to reclaim top spot as they go to Burnley.
The comedy is rightly left to the end as the spluttering divas from Man Utd and Chelsea meet at Old Trafford.

Maybe I should’ve taken the -4 to get salah after all 49 from mane and TAA and likely to hold position. Crazy lol

Very pleased with my score 72 from 3 but how come Mane didn’t get any bonus after scoring two goals?

Missed big chances and the defenders have CS/Assists.

Both full backs kept clean sheets and assisted and Salah matched Mane’s goals and crucially also added an assist.

His 3 BPS evaporated after he missed a big chance towards the end. Could have been utter ecstasy for Mane owners had that gone in.
At least Salah got some BPS, unusually (unless they’ve subsequently evaporated).

Been playing 10 plus years. Just passed my record points score for a season with 2.5 game weeks left, so quite chuffed with how this season has gone. Will be on 2307pts and hoping I can sneak into the top 1k.

I’m perfectly happy with tonight’s turn of events; the above post was in jest.
I based my decision on Salah or Mane TC on ownership in my bit of the OR, though keeping Vardy also played its part in selecting Mane. It seems to have paid off, e.g. no red arrow. If Fix is to be believed.
I went without both when wildcarding and knew a while ago only one would be likely to come back.

I brought him in for a hit whilst stood in the queue in Sainsbury’s at 6.15 having stared at my computer screen all week and fairly well convinced myself not to bother. FPL, eh.

My plan all week was to bring Salah in for Eriksen for a hit.I then spent today talking myself out of it.Finally late afternoon decided i would bring him in and Tc captain him.Then at 6.50pm changed cappo to Mane.The ups and downs eh !

Used to. When that slot was Saturday lunch. Those games always feel a bit flatter. Friday ones feel livelier. Probably both for and from the players and the crowd.

Just had a look back and I’ve got the captain pick correct 6 times from 36 GWs. I’m over the moon with climbing to a rank of 8k, but thinking this could’ve been so much better if I’d got a few more of those right! Hey ho. This week was a good one to get right.

It’s really compelling, I’d forgotten.
Somehow I’ve started Richarlison 24 times this season. Astonishing. Alonso was around for a while as well. Only Robbo has appeared for my side more than 30 times.

Very compelling Kralin! I particularly like the stats on which formation has worked best for you especially when we wonder whether to play 4-3-3 or 3-5-2!

The ‘individual players used’ combined with ‘total appearances in squad’ per club is revelatory.
Liverpool, Wolves and City utterly dominate for me.

I have Dunk but had to make the heart-breaking decision to bench him this weekend. Natutrally Duffy was the first name on the teamsheet and I’m expecting great things.
By far the toughest decision I had to make this GW – fretting over Salah or Mane pales into insignificance.

Unfortunately not. The reality is we sent a message to IT to fix another issue and they decided to add this as a ‘bonus’. Apparently though despite it taking two minutes to add it, it can take up to 72 hours to ’unadd’ it. Some issue to do with their laptop being downstairs and them being upstairs and them being unable to solve that particular conundrum which therefore leads to a 3 day delay. I kid you not, as preposterous as that sounds. Anyone who’s dealt with BT or Sky on the phone will understand I’m sure. (Except the small caveat that this is supposed to be a site owner on tap and in charge of our IT).
